For me it's important that Peter is someone you root for when it comes to getting MJ or Gwen Stacy. I didn't get that with Garfield as he was just too dreamy and charming to be a nerd.

Tobey was perfect for Raimi but I honestly think that you need to go with a black Spider-Man if you don't want to dial up the camp. A black nerd is far more Peter Parker. A white nerd is more Osborne.

we don't know but he will appear in a marvel movie before he gets his very own Marvel Studios movie. safe to say we skip the origin story.
i doubt they use anything from ASM, would be hard to explain what he did during Avengers 1.

Actually, that's a pretty good choice.


His comedic timing for dialog was spot on in Teen Wolf (for the 2 seasons I watched). That's not something one can really learn, and would be perfect for Spidey's verbal diarrhea.


I'm just sad that Whedon is out after this Avengers movie. Would have loved to see what he could do with his dialog. It's sooooo in his wheelhouse.
