Amiibo Thread 3 | Where release dates are made up and preorders don't matter!

Picked up my Shiek and Toon Link from GameStop and Shulk arrived from them in the mail yesterday. Lucario arrived from Toys R Us earlier in the week. Target also finally shipped Mega Man, Ike, DeDeDe, and Sonic. Now just waiting on Best Buy to process and ship Meta Knight.

I jsut got myself a Toon Link Amiibo. I've only had that one, and Samus so far. Are there any released amiibos right now that are currently rare?
 
Up here in Canada, my girlfriend walked into Toys R Us yesterday (the 13th) and walked out with a Sonic and a Mega Man. Needless to say, I was pretty damn surprised when I got home from work. Amazon.ca doesn't even have them yet!

GameStop delivered my Shulk from the States; Rosalina, Meta Knight and Lucario all arrived from overseas a little while ago.

My amiibo collection is now complete. Until Wave 4, at least.
 
Got Mega Man, Dedede, Ike, and Meta Knight coming to me this week from BestBuy.

Will have all of Wave 3 minus Rosalina after that. Then it will be time to open them so they can join their amiibo friends.

I wish the duck was sitting on his back like that in the Smash render just for the sake of the amiibo :(

well, see if my order is cancelled or actually ships lol ... though last time this happened with target.com it required me refreshing the page and clicking the buy button even while it was greyed out until it actually let me add to cart.

Nah. This is the chance for you to redeem yourself. You have to fix this mistake. See I'm not you. I prefer a little bit of everything. It's why I have 5 different chicks in my avatar. But you, you had things all set up perfectly for you so stop letting that opportunity go by.

So I did some photoshopping. Made a Mew amiibo box cause my favorite Pokemon is Mew.

A little off topic, but anyone hear anything about Targets getting more MM 3DSes? I mean, it's in the ad for this week.

Really wish Best Buy hadn't cancelled my order and really wish I didn't waste time going to Target in 5 degree weather only to not get one on Friday, then waste time to get Ike at TRU, only to have some dude basically cut me and take the sole Ike. During which I missed the Target.com MM 3DS.

I'm starting to see a lot of people talking about how wearing all this Amiibo/limited Zelda stuff is starting to get. Makes you kind of feel stupid for falling for all of it.

every time i neglect to pre-order an amiibo i regret it.

i need a meta knight. i hope more go for sale on or shortly after Feb 20th, like gamestop did with Shulk
 
Just got DEDEDE alert at TARGET BUT IT WONT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was sick in bed most the evening yesterday. I see I got a Now in Stock Alert at 7:09pm EST for Ike at Target. Hopefully some of you all got in on that. I have my preorder for in store pickup at BB on Friday. They haven't failed me yet so I am sticking with it. Though if Dedede comes up anywhere before then I am grabbing him since he is my main and there is no way I am leaving that up to chance.

BTW I am still interested and willing to keep track up everyone's best to worst Amiibo rankings. I think it would be fun to have a NeoGAF top 5 and bottom 5 ranking. There are no rules, just however you feel they rank.

Haha too true! I have a 3 mo old son and we're just thankful that my sister absolutely loves to watch him when we need to go on our errand dates!
Isn't it funny how much you love that time after you get the kiddo down for the night. Our son goes to bed at 8:30 and as soon as that happens mommy and daddy bust out the Super Mario 3D World 😉

Edit: I keep getting Dedede updates on that Page monitor extension it is driving me nuts!
 
I was planning on going to Best Buy to try and score a Meta Knight but now I am getting a little nervous seeing all of the stories. I have only waited outside of TRU and the people seem well civilized. haha

Just want to finish the Kirby collection here :(
 
Everuone in the UK who does not have a Meta Knight or Shulk pre-ordered - what are your plans next week? Where are you going to check?
 
I've been to a lot of places that carry amiibos over the past couple of days (looking for Majora's Mask-related stuff, actually). I didn't see a single "3B" anywhere, but noticed that Toon Link and Sheik are more or less everywhere now. In fact, I saw just as much as them as I saw Bowsers. In some cases, MORE!

I was at Best Buy yesterday and overheard an older couple that was looking for Fox and Mega Man. I had just been to a Toys R Us minutes before that had Fox (which is kind of weird, right?), so I told them about that. They were super happy! I told them that Mega Man had just come out the day before and that, hopefully, he'll be easier to find in a couple of weeks.

Also... I'm having amiibo dreams again. Last night, I stumbled upon a bunch of amiibos that were packaged in Skylanders packaging! SUPER RARE!!!
 
Happy I have Friday off again. Now I'll be sure to get my preorders and not lose out.

Mostly worried about MK at this point. No trust for BB.

We do indeed have more than just the preorders. Me and my boyfriend both work at diffeeent stores and it's the same case for both. I can't guarantee it'll be the same for all stores though.
