Exactly this. Whiplash came out here in Italy last Thursday and Birdman exactly 1 week before that.

I hope the Blu Ray versions will a) be good and b) come out soon. They're both on my to-watch list, but not enough to actually go to the theater and suffer the italian dub + people munching popcorns.

The biggest complaint I heard early on was that it was very simplistic, but that may have been improved during the Early Access period. It seems like the type of genre that would lend itself to very long playtime, but none of the really positive reviews have a large number of hours played, so I wonder if it gets repetitive quickly. All that said, I've had my eye on it for a while and will definitely pick it up at some point, but it really seems like the type of game that will end up bundled fairly soon so I'm just going to wait and see for a while.

I dunno, NV never crashed on me.

DP on the other hand, had this curious behaviour of being somewhat stable during the normal course of the game (crashing after a hour or so, and then being unplayable until restarting the PC), but being extremely painful while replaying chapters for sidequests (even a crash every couple of minutes).
The experience may vary, tho. Apparently I've been extremely unlucky, but someone else could be even more unlucky, with currupted saves and such, or luckier, with less crashes and a fairly smooth play.

But, as Petri said, it doesn't matter how many times it crashes on you, you just have to keep playing it. I got to 100% it, even with the 2-minutes-top-of-consecutive-playtime limit during chapter replay. :D

Dear Future Man Puncher,

McDonalds?? Ewww that is just disgusting. Next time buy a pound of boneless chicken breast for $5. Marinate it in some lemon juice and throw it in some flour. Than throw it on the stove. 10-15 minutes on each side = delicious healthy meal and you save couple dollars for steam bundle.

Both Whiplash and Birdman are *amazing* albeit in very, very different ways. One nice thing w/ both of them is if you do wait for BluRay or OnDemand or whatever you won't be "missing" much; they'll survive the transition to the smaller screen just fine as both are essentially character pieces (and the cinematographic trickery/virtuoso stuff in Birdman will translate fine as well as it's not special effects or CGI or anything)

Thanks for the reply. Like you, think I'll hold off and see if it gets bundled or gets a nice sale. The price is a little high for an impulse purchase anyways.
 
According to Steam I haven't played Skyrim since 13.04.2014. And I think I just played it for 5 min that time and uninstalled it afterwards. Skyrim was great, not a masterpiece, but great. Steam cloud killed my save which killed my interest.

I do this a lot. For me it's "fuck... now I have to re-mod the game..."

I'm trying to find a super small combination of mods that make the game look amazing. I've got over 80 mods running and I don't like having that many, just in case I decide to remove them all (like 80% of them are graphical, so they take up heaps of space and I only have a single 250gb SSD... Nothing else).

But to be clear, my problem isn't necessarily space. It's the fact that it would take ages to replicate what I have. I don't like that. If it all magically goes away there's no way I'd do it again.

So I'm on a mission to make a photorealistic skyrim with barely any graphical mods. It's not going great...

I actually coat my chicken breast pieces in a thin layer of mayonnaise before throwing it in some Italian-style breadcrumbs if I'm making nuggets. Is just flour a thing? If I tried that, it would feel unfinished, unless I was frying them.

Well, I have to mention that I have a pretty good home theater, so I won't be sacrificing much, waiting for Blu Rays :)

I mean, I think you'd want some seasoning in the flour too. Salt, pepper, cayenne, some herbs.

Breadcrumbs are overrated anyway. Use crushed peanuts instead.

That last feature will be handy for Far Cry 4 owners... assuming Ubi intends to apply it to recent releases and not just new ones going forward.
 
Why is it that people writing "Kappa" annoy me so much? I just played a game of Dota 2 with a stack of three who used Kappa and other Twitch emotes as a suffix for everything they said while talking in a Bulldog/Sing Sing fashion. Muted and reported them all, don't even feel bad about it.
Twitch Chat is a bottomless pit of stupidity so i purposely avoid it, I just wish people wouldn't take that stupidity with them outside of Twitch.

A Story about my Uncle is getting scary. Is there really a monster in the chasms? Are their shock moments with something suddenly popping in, screaming? It's dark and Maddie is sitting on my back, I'm scared.

I used to play a lot of Age of Empires between the ages of 8-10. Then I got into consoles(had a PS1 but didn't play it that much outside of Tekken 3/Digimon World/Digimon Rumble Arena/Beyblade). Had a crapload of PS2 games, then got a PS3(worked a entire summer to get it) which I quite enjoyed for a few years. All the while I'd play a couple of pirated games here and there on the PC. Then one day I saw one of my countries gaming magazines and it had Just Cause 2 as the free game of the month. There it began my adventure in Steam. Sales and indie bundles quickly got me hooked. 3 years and a few months later I own 2740 games!
