Well, I won't hold it against them for those games, as you do need both analog sticks.
I really only expect compatibility for fighting games, sidescrollers & shmups but I honestly don't see microsoft giving a shit about this unless there's some giant outrage. Stick company makers seriously need to stand up for the customers though and fight for better compatibility.
Holy shit. I had no idea. I never would have bought a TE2 if I would've known it would be limited to a single game. WHYYYYYYY
Also, how does the Hori work on other games (DOA5)?
EDIT: THIS JUST IN
According to S. Mack on Amazon, you CANNOT, I repeat, CANNOT use the Hori RAP Hayanusa for Xbox one on Tomb Raider or Titanfall:

I can't seem to get the stick to work on Tomb Raider or Titan Fall on the XBOX ONE . I can navigate the xbox one screens and choose applications but when I try and start a game or control a character it is not working at all.
You heard it here first.
Pretty much what I was just thinking. Maybe we/I should see if we can get a news site to pick this up, and then MS might actually do something about it.Where's a games journalist when you need one?
Guess it depends on how the Hori identifies itself. If it just sneaks in as a regular controller it should probably work. It's hard to know though because A.) DOA just came out/isn't technically out yet b.) Not many fighter players have XB1s and c.) an even smaller percentage of that has sticksThat legit sucks if you can't use a TE2 for DOA. There are XB1 Horis out there right? Would those work or is this issue totally on the DOA side?
Just so you guys know. We (Mad Catz) have reached out to Koei Tecmo on the issue. As you know, we don't make the product work with the games, we can only hope developers program their titles for use with the product. I find it odd that the basic stick compatibility wasn't included for this.
We previewed a version of DOA5 at Tokyo Game Show last year too at the Mad Catz booth/streamed it for Team Ninja. You'd think they'd remember
Either way I'll update everyone as we go on.
Is the ps4 doa5 compatible with the ps4 te2?
That's exactly what I've been thinking when I see really picky specs. Going between arcade, part placements varied greatly due to reused and recycled cabinets, inconsistent joystick holes, singular sticky/inconsistent buttons, etc. and we just approached fighters by playing all of them and learning all the characters. Now as a discerning grown-up, I've gotten all pedantic and refuse to use friends' silent layouts and balk at learning more than a couple characters/games at a time. It's never going to happen, I gave up on waiting for that and Madcatz to release their sticks in the UK and took a punt on the Kai. I can soon swap buttons and sticks out if I hate them, but I grew up playing in arcades so I can get used to most pretty easily. If it moves all directions and the buttons don't stick down because of a cigarette burn it's all good.
If I had to make an educated guess, the One games are hard-coded to look for the exact xinput HID device ID of the official controller and basically ignore anything else. This is a common issue on Windows where you need to emulate the exact 360 controller USB HID ID for gamepad support to work properly in a lot of games.I bought a TE2 awhile ago for Killer Instinct, thinking that down the line I could use it for XB1 versions of SF and GG so it'd be worth it. Welp, that's not happening lol, but anyway tried using it with DOA5:LR today and the game doesn't even pick it up.
Still works in the system menu, but doesn't seem to work for any other game than KI. Bone isn't exactly drowning in fighters so I can't check anything else but it doesn't work for DOA.
Hopefully someone here can help me out. My connector on my stick has finally bought it and no longer picks up inputs at all. I want to replace it but I don't know where to get one as I don't really even know the name of the thing. Connector in question:
Also, would it be much of a job to switch an entirely different style of connector on there as the one above doesn't hold the cable very securely. My cats like to jump on it from time to time and it rips right out. Thanks.
Is that a B15 stick?

The hori ex2 or vx series are sub-$80. They do not have high quality parts, but they get the job done for someone new to sticks.Hey everyone. I am interested in a fight stick for my PC. What 360 stick is recommended for beginners?
Nice!!Thar she blows.

Not that I know of, at least not in the US, but swapping Sanwa parts for Seimitsu is cake. Are there any pre-built sticks for PS4 that use seimitsu parts?

It was a cable like this:
Probably one of these

Why not ask for b15 to send you another one. Also those neutriks cover the male part of the USB in a round metal connection designed to definitely stop some cat stepping on it. Sounds like you just put a raw usb b cable in there without the neutrik metal covering.

Hey guys. I want a 360 stick for shooters and was thinking of getting a VX SA KAI and maybe putting an LS-56-01 in there. Are there any better/cheaper options I should be aware of right now?
Canadian Joystickshi, do you guys know a good online place to buy arcade sticks in Canada? the exchange rate for USD is kinda fucking ridiculous right now...

Canadian Joysticks
Amazon
Canadian joysticks (limited selection)
Well thats about it. I guess madcatz store as well
Wow, if that's the case, Tecmo did you guys dirty. I guess no contracts or agreements were made but you would think that by your advertising their game at your booth, it would be understood that they would make their game compatible with your products.
Is the ps4 doa5 compatible with the ps4 te2?
If you're in Asia there's the Japan-exclusive HRAP VX SE KAI with a Seimitsu lever and buttons. If you're anywhere else I'd suggest getting a HRAP VX SA KAI (or HRAP 4 KAI if you're on PS4/PC) and putting in a LS-40-01 and PS-14-G buttons.
The LS-40 is a lot better than the LS-56/58 for twitch games, but that's just me.
Thanks for the tip, I'll give the 40 a shot. Does the KAI need an S mount plate or will a flat one work?
Have an opportunity to buy a pretty nice looking stick:

XBOX 360 PCB
Seimtsu PS-14-KN buttons
Sanwa JLF Stick
Any suggestions as to a fair price for this?
Has anyone modded an HRAP V4? I'm an fan of Seimitsu buttons. Do I detach screws from a bottom plate like the old TEs?
