I didn't make it 30 seconds with all those abrupt, shitty camera cuts with no consistency aside from being shitty. That was enough for me.

I have never personally tried to make a video like this, but I still imagine that if I put so many hours into it, I wouldn't end up with such a horrible video. I couldn't watch it. I had to keep skipping through while cringing.

Editing is so awful. Music is really, really terrible. Like, I understand they're going for an 8 bit soundtrack vibe, but this is a massive failure. Shot composition and choreography is seriously blah. Main protagonist has zero charisma or presence.

I checked out the site a little big more and on the winners page, http://www.campusmoviefest.com/elfenworks/movies-winners , it obviously lists all the previous winners. The winners are all called "Elfenworks Social Justice Winners" I don't know what's going on anymore.

Skimming through those films, none of the come across as really great, but all show potential. Decent acting, decent to good cinematography, good lighting, etc. And there's at least an attempt at depth in these films. I'm hardly the best authority on this kind of stuff, though, to put it simply.

This is a version of our film. I say version, bc some of the cuts are not mine, and they drop the multiple screens and bloom effect layers in some areas. Probably bc of the size of the file, and to make room for their bumpers. A thing we did not know they could do.
I think it still holds up well and representative of what we did, but it infuriates me that some one can go in and change our edit.

That was really great. I stuck with that because I wanted to see how it ended
