Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"
Why did this PPV get an OT thread are the ratings that low on wrestle-gaf to have a thread for a D tier PPV

I'll admit I thought it was weird when the idea was brought up. But then again, the mid-PPV between RR and WM tends to be watched a lot more than say, Night of Champions or whatever just becuase its in between those two.

I wanted the Miami Dolphins to go to the superbowl. But they didn't, and I still watched the superbowl.

People wanted Bryan to win at rumble and headline WrestleMania, but he didn't.

Roman did.
I think WWE made a mistake in "listening" to the fans.

Do you complain when a character on a tv show dies?
No.
That's how its written.
Enjoy it for what it is, not what you want it to be.

Somebody with way too much time on their hands needs to take that bugs bunny rabbit season duck season gif and change it to be bryan season -roman season with derpy Brock at the end.

How do the USOs still have a job?

And what exactly is this makeshift team with Ziggler, Ryback and a Wyatt brother? Has Rollins been demoted hard for the dick pics?

I'm looking forward to seeing some of the spots, especially with Ziggler and Rollins. BnB and Ambrose should put a good match on and so will Goldust and Cody.

I don't like Rusev being built up to be fed to Cena, its the same tired and predictable garbage they have done forever, even if its not at Fastlane, and they save it for Mania. So many other guys could use the rub by going over Rusev.

Cesaro and Kidd make a fantastic tag team, its too bad the Uso's are the tag division version of Cena, it's also too bad that the tag team division is as meaningless as the Divas.

I agree with this point at least. Honestly, if WWE was smart, they would have gone all-in on the Bryan redemption storyline with Bryan winning the Rumble (have him in at #1) and going Bryan vs. Brock 1v1 at Mania. Then stick Reigns with Rusev and have Reigns be the guy to pin Rusev clean for the first time at Mania.

That leaves Cena without an obvious opponent at Mania, but I think they could have done something like Cena vs. Rollins as a "old guard" vs. "new blood" type match.

Could we just have had Ziggler/Rollins? That would tear the house down, guaranteed.

And please please please, don't let Rusev job to Cena.. Smarks would riot. At the best case scenario, it'll probably end in some type of DQ.

I would accept Rusev losing, if and only if, it meant he got a rematch and went over clean at Mania.

Also, it would have to be a loss that wasn't a clean pin or submission. Maybe something like passing out to the STF (lol) or being AAed onto the concrete floor and not being able to beat the 10 count back to the ring.

Didn't we just have Ziggler/Rollins on RAW in the past week or two?

Maybe whoever said that this is just a Sunday night episode of RAW is right. I'm still watching it.

I hope the PPV can entertain me half as much as the opening post for this thread.
Well I'm sure they'll be plenty more entertainment witnessing the massive pile up resulting from the main event.

Actually I'm on board here for Barrett/Ambrose and Stardust/Goldust, mid card storylines, who'd have thought such a wacky idea could work?

Other shows don't go on for decades to the point where main characters have to be replaced, and I'm not looking forward to the next five or so years with this new lead guy.

I can't tell if Reigns is a face or a heel. I'm guessing the WWE wants the audience to like him, but vs. Bryan, it aint happening.
I feel like they adapted quickly to the heat he gets.
Tagging himself in and winning the match on his own is a classic heel move.

So is straight up interfering a match.
Roman a heel

With that and Ambrose winning the Intercontinental Championship it would be a great time to elevate the titles, likely they will continue to be useless though.

Rusev isn't exactly the problem for why the US title doesn't matter. He's undefeated isn't he?

I could live with this whole scenario.

Although I really wanted to see Rollins and Brock in a 1v1 match. They had some great chemistry at the Rumble.

That Royal Rumble was so bad that they're going to erase it from our minds.

Wrestlemania to be Lesnar, Bryan, Roman. Mr. Money in the Bank is going to walk in and win. That's how I would like it to happen.

Rusev isn't a problem for the title, booking is. Just saying this could be the beginning of making the belt elevated by having higher tier people than Swagger or Show go after it. Also, really hoping Rusev wins. Its stupid to feed his streak to Cena who doesn't need the push. In a sane world the streak should have been fed to Reigns before he earned a title shot.

I'll say something nice- It's nice to see the US Title involved in such a big match. Combined with Ambrose going after the IC title, it seems like they are slightly elevating those belts. I hope Brock re-signs for a year, retains at Mania, and dissapears till SSlam, and one of those 2 belts gets elevated, like NJPW has done with the Intercontenental title run Nakamura has had

Everything else on this show is probably going to be bad.

I'm pretty new to WWE. I understand Rollins has the Money in the Bank title and has that briefcase he carries around. But I don't know what it means, how he got it, or what he can do with it. Can someone explain?

The Money in the Bank briefcase grants the holder a title shot whenever he wants (e.g. after the champion has just gone through a grueling match, etc). It's usually contested at the Money in the Bank PPV in July (although it started as a WM concept). It's basically a ladder match with 6 or so participants. The winner has one calendar year to "cash in" the briefcase (until the next MITB PPV basically).

The first ever MITB winner and cash-in was Edge in 2005: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_2H6vIZR4g

Cash it in at any time to have a championship match.

The first time it was ever cashed in was when Edge did it right after John Cena had a tough match and was basically crawling on the floor.

So basically its a guaranteed championship title. Just have to make sure the champion just got his ass whooped.

Kinda hard with Lesnar

Why didn't Triple H confront Sting when Sting posed for a promo photo? I know they didn't take it together, but you'd think HHH would be aware.

Good point. And why does HHH have to come into the ring on RAW to call out Sting? He could probably just find out his phone number and handle that shit privately.

Yeahhhh...

I think I'm gonna pass on this one. I was willing to deal with a shit card last time because it was the Rumble, but this is just...

I'll be back for Mania, I guess.
