This has been bugging me for like a week now so I figured I'd just post on here and see if MovieDetectiveGAF can figure it out.

Can you name this thing? It might be a movie, it might be a TV show pilot, I'm not sure, I can't remember. Here are the details I do remember:

  • The protagonist was a teenage girl, sort of Veronica Mars/Nancy Drew style I guess, always getting into trouble and whatnot
  • It was set in the future, on a space station
  • The girl had this weird phrase she would say instead of an exclamation, I don't know how you spell it but it sounded something like "seedas stupidus" (pronounced so as to rhyme)
  • The movie/show/whatever is probably from the 1980s or 1990s

Any suggestions?

Holy cow you guys are fast. Thanks! And yes looking at it now it does look rather terrible. I had no idea there were sequels.

Haven't watched them in forever. I think the production values of the sequels are higher so they're maybe watchable.

Didn't want to start a new thread, so figured would just ask in this one. Was at a bar last night and they were playing this old sci fi film, looked really obscure, but couldn't tell.

Random scenes included a man flying with wings carrying this hot blonde girl, the same hot blonde getting experimented on/trapped in something by this old weird wizardish guy, a big room with men floating in blue liquid enclosed in orbs as decoration and people smoking some sort of contraptions, and it seemed like the whole theme was sci fi/mythical. I have no idea how to find this and it is really bugging me.

I also wouldn't blame anyone if they read that paragraph and still have no clue what I am talking about. I was slightly drunk and not paying too close of attention.

Looks like you got your answer, but your best bet for anything you see on a bar TV:

- Make a note of the date and rough time
- Look at online cable/sat TV guides for that date/time and look to see what was airing

If you have the presence of mind when you're at the bar, try to make a note of what network it is, otherwise you'll just have to go through all the networks, although chances are it's going to be a major one like SyFy or TNT.

Definitely solid advice, the bar I was at though was playing the movie on a projector. I didn't think to ask anyone while I was there because I was pretty distracted.
