Ono didn't direct MvC3. And Akuma was in MvC3 primarily because of his history with the series. He was a hidden character in X-Men:COTA.
No guarantee though- KOF games have online betas as well. Just hoping for rollback KI-style.

This is a fair point. I shouldn't say Ono so much as Capcom as a whole who continues to push Akuma along side Ryu with things like MvC III and Ryu/Akuma DlC for Asura's Wrath.

Ken was originally a "white" American, until Cacpcom Japan decided that they didn't like the idea of a white guy being Ryu's equal.

Akuma's always been pushed as a top Street Fighter character. He's in Puzzle Fighter, Pocket Fighter, and even Cyberbots.

The rumor of Ken's hair being black stems from his black eyebrows. He's had those since SFII.
I agree he has, but at the same time we usually see Ken join in those times along side Akuma and Ryu.
My only point is I think that Akuma is as much as lock for SF V as Ryu and Chun and even more so then Ken (whom I believe will be in the game)

You're right, he'll probably be in the initial 16 or whatever it is. I guess at this point he's just as important as Bison. (not to me though)
I would kind of just like to see more original characters or ones we haven't seen for a while instead of a bunch of auto includes.

Upon watching the trailer another half dozen times, more thoughts...
-I LOVE the new music. I hope this is Charlie's new theme.
-The stitched up look is pretty cool and definitely makes him stand out, but I do hope he has an alt of his traditional look.
-His new moves are incredible. He looks really fun to play as.
-I liked that they showed off more stage interactions. Those little details make a huge difference to me.
-M. Bison got a new outfit? Looks like a long coat of some sort.

But even the official US Capcom site is calling him Nash. (Charlie Nash too.) I wouldn't mind since I like both names, I just want to know what's the deal.

I like this list a lot but I feel like most people would prefer to see more Alpha/III characters that didn't come back for IV (R. Mika, Karin, Oro, Urien, etc.). I think Ibuki is pretty expendable, and I'd say the same for Juri but it'd be weird if they didn't return at least one SF4 newcomer (Viper or Abel would be viable too imo). I also have kind of a weird feeling about Guile not returning - I'd love for him to, but comments they've made about not knowing how to make Charlie and Guile distinct in SFIV made me feel like it's possible there's only room for one of them. Though to be fair the Charlie we saw in this trailer is very distinct from SF4 Guile so it's entirely possible lol.
I just hope somehow Dan or Hakan manage to slip into the roster. Too much fun. Haggar would be excellent as well, though it's sad that would probably be at the cost of Zangief :[

To be fair then went back on that with characters that are strait up more powerful than ryu. And the C.Viper, who in her entire concept shits on the entire lives of a bunch if not most of the SF cast

Oh, wow! It's subtle, but I really think they've improved her face, and her overall shape. My one main problem with SF4's style was how everyone seemed lumpy or "meaty", or something. From the looks of the new screenshot they're streamlining the characters more. I like it.

Are you serious? You can see the gaps between the animations even at 30 FPS. That is the EXACT OPPOSITE of god tier animations. That Genocide Cutter looks terrible.
