Wow already in Beta? This game is coming out in 2015? I thought SFIV was gonna be 2015 and SFV 2016. Who would of thought we would get both?

There was Chun-Li's Alpha redesign... don't see why they couldn't do the same for Sakura.

The animated movie is awesome! Well it has some ok bits... Well one ok bit... In a shower.

Otherwise trying to make sense of the story is as nuts as ever. It is a bunch of stuff that makes no sense. They could give literally any explanation for anything and it could not make less sense. They could also give no explanation at all.

Charlie/Nash looks amazing in this trailer! I was afraid they were just going to base everything on Alpha alone, but it looks like they're mixing it up a bit. The whole "Frankenstein's Monster" aesthetic's pretty neat, honestly!

... Although, if they were able to reanimate a mutilated corpse, why didn't they bother with his vision? If they could fix his face, they should theoretically fix his eyes as well, right? Then again, those glasses are pretty fashionable.

It's actually canon that the glasses are purely cosmetic- you need perfect eyesight to be an air force pilot afterall.

I would like for SF 3 to just become an alternate timeline what if kind story. I don't want the series to be confined by that title. Besides, it would make reintroducing those characters much more interesting.

Yep. Alpha 3 was his last canonical appearance. And Capcom has been throwing major hints to his now know fate in the VS. series with the character "Shadow". It's stated that he was brainwashed by Bison in the games.

well storywise ken is still US champ in 3rd strike, so i'm guessing they either don't meet in the iteration or Ken finally beats Charlie and officially is the best in the US

I'd rather they just create a system that doesn't inherently punish charge characters so they don't need glitches to give them flexibility.

It's not that bad. Bison is trying to take over the world, see's Ryu's potential in the Sagat fight, sends his agents to get him and after failing, settles for Ken in his absence. Some side characters have revenge stories, Ryu is a just a nomad, Guile/Chunli are cops chasing Bison, Sim is a monk that's super ripped.

Everyone is fighter, who needs a reason?

I feel like Akuma will be an unlockable boss character and definitely NOT part of the rumoured 16. (He has been this way in almost every new SF series).

Even I feel Ken might not make it in this one. Traditionally he has always been a character that has been revealed first alongside Ryu. Unless he is making a return as Violent Ken or a completely new move set. But then again this is Street Fighter and the 2 main/most recognizable characters are without a doubt Ryu and Ken.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 has Ken as a playable character.

MvC had Ryu use a bar of Super meter where he could change his moveset to Ken/Akuma.

That redesign got a lot of flack at the time if I'm not mistaken. That's why they went back to her old costume later in the alpha and crossover series.

with MK X coming out and tremendous amount of hype it has behind it Capcom should be careful. As of now MK X will probably dominate the FG market and if capcom wants to be king of fighters again they gotta really do something to bring in the casuals. I really hope they listen to player feedback and experiment with the games speed. no disk locked DLC i really hope they learned their lesson from SFXTekken. And i really hope they add lots of singleplay content for casuals. Cause so far aside from the speed this game looks amazing to me.

Honestly how many can you squeeze in to a 16 man roster. Out of which only 13 - 12 might be returning. Juri is pretty much on lock for SF4 rep. I really dont see any other SF4 character making it in. SF3 has Urien or Gill more or less on lock too. and yea I think alex has a pretty good chance.

Reveal video was awesome (Blimblim's HQ one is even better) but what keeps hitting me is how awesome the music is in these SF5 trailers.
I feel this game is going to deliver on every aspect. At least I hope.
