500k is possible for ps3+ps4 i think it can do 200k on ps4 and 300k on ps3

700k is a sure LTD right now. It's DQ, and a quite important project, so it might do more; also, the first DQ on a Sony hardware since 2006. DQM on 3DS could reach a million.

Havnt they only founded Street Fighter 5? I know about Resident Evil: Revelation 2 Vita port too, but that is just one version. Making Monster Hunter 5 exclusive to PS3/PS4 would be a pretty big thing. But i guess only time will tell.

Ultra Street Fighter IV PS4, Deep Down and possibly Dragon's Dogma online.

EDIT: And yes it would be big but I think there's enough to suggest Sony is being aggressive enough.

Unless they intend to fundamentally change the business model (it makes sense to flood f2p games to everywhere) I don't see much incentive to move it.

Like what would be the end goal benefit in making the next game on PlayStation?

I see. Still feels that Monster Hunter is out of the realm of reach, in my opinion. But i guess its not 100% impossible.

I imagine the first incentive would be a truck full of cash from Sony HQ, the second incentive would be the promise of big western success(which is why I'm suggesting PS4 not Vita). With MH4U likely to miss the 3.9 million mark Capcom projected they would have some justification for changing gears too.

A market where both Nintendo and Sony platforms enjoyed success would've been much better for the industry.

Yes, you can argue that it's not Capcom's responsibility to save Sony, but in the end they could have done it, and then have two successful platforms to make games for, instead of one.

Of course this all assumes that Nintendo did not pay Capcom for exclusivity, and that Capcom made this decision from their own accord, which may or may not be true.
 
The most I could ever imagine happening, even if Sony got financially involved, is a MH4U HD for PS4, only if Capcom/Sony perceive that MH could expand even more in the West if it was on the system. It just doesn't make sense to abandon the 3DS.

Maybe. Or maybe not. But why point your finger to Capcom, which made the most reasonable choice back then? By bringing MH on 3DS, Capcom also knew it would have full support from Nintendo in distributing and promoting the IP in the West, something that is actually paying off; I don't remember Sony ever recognizing the importance of the IP by advertising it in the West.

That's highly debatable. Game companies have been migrating towards mobile since before PSV was released; Nintendo has not increase the price of its platforms, and you still get MH clones on PSV. Also, Nintendo was basically alone with both GB and GBA, and the industry was just fine.

Splitting the userbase is something Capcom wanted to avoid. Also, Capcom was also interested in establishing the IP in the West.

I like this line of reasoning that when a third party is going to Nintendo, it's because of money-hatting. Well, true or not, Capcom's decision payed off and 3DS is becoming one of the best-selling consoles ever in Japan.

I agree with you. With only Nintendo in the handheld market, Capcom will have to settle with developing only for that platform or going to other markets.
 
Whenever a major 3rd party game has any degree of exclusivity I just assume it was incentivized or moneyhatted. MH4, GE2, Toukiden, FF Explorers, PS Nova, etc.

Really the hypocrisy is too much, for the sake of a more healthy handheld market sure... But this ideal isn´t that important to the same people when it comes to the Japanese console market for obvious reasons ...In general seeing how the system was pretty much abandoned early on in the gen by their 1st party teams except for projects that had been too far in development, it´s really ridiculous to blame any 3rd party publisher instead.

Just think about it: the fact that Capcom, a third party company, might even remotely be responsible of this situation shows you how incompetent Sony has been, both with PSP and PSV. Relying on one IP, which is not even internal, to succeed is highly risky.

There's no arguing that Sony has been largely incompetent at properly supporting their handhelds, that's for sure.

But it's certainly not the first time that a generation has been decided on a third party choosing one platform over another. The biggest example of all being Square in the PS1 era.

Neither did the 3DS (but the PS1/2 monopolized the market, so... they sort of did kill competition). 3DS now directly competes with mobile for the time, money, and space of the public and gamer crowds. Competition is, now if anything, more fierce then ever before in the mobile space, its just that one of the big old players is more or less effectively gone of their own willful mismanagement.

Sony wrote itself out of the competition by putting out a product and then wishing upon a star for support. And its not like the Vita doesn't have 3rd party support or attempts at it.
