I have something to sell you.

Currently at us cellular the Note 4(released in October) is 299 on contract.

The 32gb s6 will more than likely be 200 bucks. Edge 250.

64 250, edge 300.

128 350, Edge 400.

If the 128 is under 299 I'd eat crow.

loooooooooooooooooooooool

more like

S6 - $199/$299/$399
S6E - $299/$399/$499

ON

CONTRACT

The lack of a swappable battery and no microSD card slot are huge dealbreakers for me.

Looks like i'll be hanging onto my S5 for a long time.

New HTC One seems decent, would people recommend it? I'm clueless when it comes to phones.

I just want a good phone for browsing the web and listening to music that has great battery life and is quick.

Internet use would be Facebook and Twitter.

Holy fuck at those Edge prices. As good as it looks I'll pass. Even tho i don't gave a problem with it having no sd card or removable bat.

I'm leaning towards Note 4 Edge over the S6 / S6 Edge

Am I making a mistake?

Not at all. The Note 4/Edge have several advantages over the S6. Bigger (and removable) battery, SD card slot, S-Pen, larger screen, etc.

The S6 has slightly better specs, a different design, and a tweaked Touchwiz that the Note 4 may end up getting eventually anyway.

Depends on what you value the most in a phone, I suppose.

I still can't get over a 2550mah battery in a QHD phone. What.

Looks exactly like an iPhone. Has none of the features that distinguished Samsung phones from iPhones.

Yeah, it's a total flop.

The M8 is already perfect for all the above, especially the music part, so i'd say yes.

lolwat, nonremovable tiny battery with a 1440p screen, no sd card slot, and they remove the waterproof feature? Doubly glad I jumped on an S5 when I did, yikes, what a letdown

The camera is still terrible no? For the amount of money, I think there are better choices out there.

Pretty much the only flaw for the most part in my book, but I'm not much of a camera person, so it's easily overlookable.

M9 is the best option right now, but if you plan on taking loads of pictures don't go for it. People are largely disappointed because it didn't change much from M8. I'm leaning that route right now, but wait and see if LG announces the G4 anytime soon to release it nearby the M9 release date. Most of the complaints of it that I've seen are battery life and janky OS, which could be fixed with optimization from LG's part.

tl;dr it's the best option out of flagship phones right now, but wait and see for G4.

Edit: honestly as of right now I don't see the G4 being announced for a summer-ish release, so maybe the M9 might be my option.

It's the same thing there. Microsoft never had Backwards compatibility as far as I'm aware (I know it did a bit but lets pretend it didn't for this example) where as Nintendo always have..

yeah, I still remember all the fun playing A Link to the Past on my N64 also the original Zelda on my SNES

backward compatibility ftw

I thought biggest dissapointment of the HTC One was with the camera.

Have you used a xiaomi phone for an extended period of time? Once the honeymoon usually ends in divorce

Having used a MiPad for an extensive amount of time and a few Samsung phones, I'd rather take an imperfect marriage with Xioami than a shotgun wedding to Samsung and waking up the next day to a horror you were too drunk to fully realize.

I have a galaxy note 4 and it's pretty damn awesome. I was leaning towards the edge version by looking at it, but then in person it felt terrible.

Two variants.

One has SD801, other is insanely powerful with SD810 + 4GB LPDDR4 Memory.

- 2.0 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 Processor
- 4GB DDR4 RAM
- 5.7 Inch Quad HD Display 2560x1440p Gorilla Glass 3
- 13 MP Rear Camera With LED Flash (Sony)
- 4 MP Front Camera
- Dual SIM (Micro+Nano)
- Cat 9 LTE 450Mbps
- 64GB/128GB storage (eMMC 5.0)
- 3090 MAh Battery.
How much is this version? Any reviews?

I might get a Note 4 or Note Edge for my next phone, thinking about trying Android after doing iOS and Windows Phone. Gotta have the big screen and big battery of a phablet. Will the Note 4/Edge be the best bet until the fall? Anything else on the horizon? How good are the Samsung phones on AT&T about getting OS & firmware updates?

If you want the absolute best of Android a phablet is the way to go right now.
Go try out a Note 4(and/or edge?) and Nexus 6 at a store to get a feel for the best phones out right now. They both offer quite different experiences which is why I recommend to try them both.

Note 4 is the best of everything.
The new minote is the best bang for the buck (no lte).
Z3 compact is the best small sized phone.

Care to elaborate?

I've got the Mi2s which I've had for a year and a half and it's great and still going strong.

One of the best phones I've ever owned.

I really like the look of the s6 but I don't think I can go back down to a 5.1 inch screen. Next phone will either be a note 5 or lg g4. I currently use an lg g3 and I love it best phone I've ever owned. The complaints about battery/lag are untrue.

I wonder how accurate this image is. Hmmm…

No 2 Ghz octa core, big.LITTLE.
2.0 Ghz quad core A57 cluster (big) and 1.5 Ghz quad core A53 cluster (little). A53s are what low end phones like the Moto E and G have.

I'm really surprised that Verge and Engadget seem to be heaping such lofty praise on these things, as if they're some new height of design. I think they look like the exact same trashy Samsung design as before, just now without the plastic toy materials and some iPhone 6 nods. And the software still looks like the same old Touchwiz garbage design too.

Come on how surprised can you be, the same sites kept giving iPhone phone of the year awards seemingly solely based on those same glass and metal sides ,even when the OS was still playing catch up to android in every facet.

the plastic toy material gave me removable battery and SD cards, now they have "premium matieralz" which is a significant downgrade.

well the whiners got their way.

For all we know they could have lowered exposure on the iPhone or boosted it on the S6. White balance looks better in my eyes on the iPhone (too warm on the S6).

Comparisons like this are always funny because you could take a 48,000$ Phase One and shoot a black frame if you wanted to. Show me something repeatable and falsifiable.
