You show me this mythical $300 PC that requires no maintenance, no driver tweaks, can play anything I launch from the Steam store, and can output visuals equal to the Order, Drive Club, or Infamous:SS.

Buddy, you need to relax!

I have a gaming PC, and a PS4 (and a bunch of other consoles besides). I probably spend the most time gaming on my PC, but I'll address your points individually because why the hell not.

- Why do some people prefer consoles? Convenience, price of the system, friends to play with, input preference, exclusive games etc. Different people value different things.
- $70 games? When did that happen? I live in Australia (land of the ripped off!) and only Nintendo games stay at full price for long. Console games are definitely not as cheap as the bonkers prices you get on PC, but I haven't paid full price for a game in years!
- Stop exaggerating about performance and price please. You would be hard pressed to build a PC that can outperform a PS4 for the same price. It will happen eventually, but we're not at that point yet.
- You have no idea how big Morpheus or any other form of VR will be. Nobody does!

There is no need to perpetuate an "us vs them" attitude here. You are clearly biased against consoles, and not even attempting a balanced discussion. Just step back a little.

I had a gaming PC fully available to me for a year. I had some good times with it, but damn it felt like a fifth of games had some sort of special issue that needed a special patch or fix, or .ini edit. It was just too much a hassle dealing with crashes, fixes, etc. I will say though I played THE FUCK out of Trackmania 2 for a year and it is fucking insane those games havent come to console.

I know this might be your experience, but I just wanted to say that on my current PC I've experienced literally ZERO issues gaming over the past 3 years. Not even once.

This is hardly the place for it, but I don't want people to get scared away from buying a gaming PC
to compliment their PS4's

It has appeared on Wii and DS. Still strange Ubisoft never did more with them.

Not understanding why people would prefer consoles or not want to get a PC? You would have to be dense or intentionally act stupid to not know why.

I own a gaming PC. I like it a lot. And even I wouldn't recommend PC gaming to all my friends.

1.7 million in Jan and Feb with the bash of media on the order is not bad at all. The PS4 is a true beast and I can't imagine how much it will sell when uncharted 4 releases

you can't even name one of those "hundreds of fantastic exclusives". Ooh wait, you mean those indie titles in steam? Oow i can play those on my PS4. Or wait, now i get it....Aaah Early Access titles? Games that aren't even finish.

Everything else are multiplatform games. I also play those on my PS4...

After last gen, you had a lot of xbox fans and PC fans who spent what, eight years or so ragging on the ps3 for everything. It was the console everyone loved to hate.

For Sony to turn it around and sell like hotcakes is just infuriating for them. I suspect many were not around for the ps2 or ps1 gens, and thus haven't seen Sony at their A game. To make matters worse, it seems all the negative rumors about the ps4 from inception till release ended up being untrue. With the vita doing poorly, I think many of them saw that as proof that the ps4 would do bad as well.

But it didn't. So every week it seems like their another excuse or article about how it's rivals will catch up or how it's all hype etc. They just can't handle their narratives being shattered month in and month out.
