Check that context yo. I refer to stainless, not sport.
Officially we've known that the base price of the Apple Watch will be $349. That's all I was referring to. I'm scared that you're right though because that's the exact watch I want too ;___;Officially? What about sizing and color? I'd love to have a space gray Sport with black band, but I feel like that is going to be $400+.
Listening to a podcast called debug and it implies the digital crown can theoretically produce haptic feedback.
Gonna be hecka sick for Sega rally.
" Its called the Taptic Engine, a linear actuator inside Apple Watch that produces haptic feedback. In less technical terms, it taps you on the wrist. Whenever you receive an alert or notification, or perform a function like turning the Digital Crown or pressing down on the display, you feel a tactile sensation thats recognizably different for each kind of interaction. Combined with subtle audio cues from the specially engineered speaker driver, the Taptic Engine creates a discreet, sophisticated, and nuanced experience by engaging more of your senses. "
How bout iPhone 5C? iPods? Price difference isn't the best indicator of demand they're willing to indulge with supply.Man you folks expecting a $500 steel watch are out of your minds. Why on earth would apple build two entirely complicated manufacturing processes and parallel supply chains for a $150 difference in price?
They wouldn't, because that makes no sense. Going from aluminum to steel/sapphire isn't going to be akin to bumping from 16GB to 32GB on an iPhone

Supposedly it feels different than phone vibrations, too.
I'm really looking forward to this conference.
Not for the watch, but for the Retina MacBook Air.
Come to mommy.
It's expected now or June. MBA is due for Retina after years of it existing on the larger MBP.What...is this being heavily rumored? I have been holding out for this but dont have the money right now. Dammit!

anybody has a countdown timer to the event?
anybody has a countdown timer to the event?
It's not unprecedented. The Watch was unveiled at the same event as the 6 and 6+.I can't see an Air coming out tomorrow. I'd think they'd want this to be all about the Watch. Air would make more sense at WWDC at the earliest since that's where the original rMBP came out, or fall with the other MacBook updates. Or its own event sometime in the spring or summer.
What time is this in Scandinavian time? 19:00 tonight?
18:00.
You sure? That would be a first, it's always 19 otherwise.
Keynote is at 18:00 CET, and that´s the Scandinavian time zone i think.
Spring forward!Ah they changed to daylight savings today.
What do people mean when they call successful Apple stuff overpriced? Like do they know how valuing products works? Capitalism? Any of it? Do they really mean the irrational claims they say make Apple so successful while claiming it is bad or overpriced?
You'll see a lot more smartwatches with haptic feedback after Apple Watch launches, mark my words.
Anyone seen any info about how long the event is scheduled?
I don't think the 12 inch retina Air is coming today.

Ah good point. Was just trying to figure out how late I was going to be in the office. Wow if it's that long has to be more than just some watch demos and pricing. The Calendar event on http://www.apple.com/live/ is two hours long, so that could be a sign.
Opinions and all that but first thing I do on OS X is turn on tap to click. I absolutely hate the crunch sound of the trackpad fully depressed.I am terrified that there might be a possibility of them showcasing a MacBook air without a clickable trackpad; that would be an incredible step backwards, even with the possibility of force touch.

Same. Pls a model larger than 12 inchesI'm really looking forward to this conference.

Monster has made a successful business out of selling various audio and video cables but everyone here will tell you that their $100 HDMI cable is overpriced. Or do you think that Monster's HDMI cable isn't overpriced?
A commodity has a reference value.
