completely forgot about health app lol. Used it once to see my step count like 3 months ago >.>

I use the pedometer functions all the time, as well as the stair count. My sleep apps integrate into HealthKit too. But I dunno any consumer device sensors that apply to a lot of those fields for calories, blood sugar, et al. Then again, I'm a healthy young guy so I don't have any need for a lot of them.

This is actually pretty cool. This is kinda what I was expecting for the Barometer in the iPhone, anonymous crowdsourcing.

I really like this. Instead of advertisers harvesting data for profit, it's researchers for good.

If this data is actually useful to the participating institutes, and not a gimmick, I'd actually do the tasks.

This health research is so awesome.
I just lost a young friend to cancer, so this whole health thing really resonates with me now.

Right you are!

Is there a Plex app?

No, but Plexconnect is a workaround with very active development. Been using it for two years with little to no issues. The process is incredibly easy if you use a Mac for your Plex server. It's a little bit more work if you use a Windows PC but still pretty alright.

Also, you could always just use Airplay if you have an iPhone or iPad.

This is pretty amazing, if it works as advertised.

Yeah this isn't really exciting on the face of it but it has some great implications if people get on board. In particular I like that Apple's still focusing on privacy with all this stuff, and seems to take it more seriously than Google.
