Good for you. I should've clarified that it's useless for me. I could never run with a phone strapped to my arm.

Miss Turlington ran without a phone in that video, so while the functionality might be limited (GPS tracking), it should still work - counting steps, heart rate, calories burnt.

Apple Watch has sensors that are in constant contact with your skin, so it does do things that the M Processor in the phones can't.

The Microsoft Band is $200, has all these features and connects to your phone and gives you notifications. You can't interact with them unless you have a Windows Phone (lol), but you can see your text messages, emails, and incoming calls. And it has GPS.
