Wait for Gen 2 I guess. I know I will. But even then, would I want to take my 1000+$ watch on a run. I just don't think the watch shouldn't be aimed at runners.

i think it's aimed at everyone. It doesn't do anything as well as highly specialized devices, of course.

A Garmin GPS watch will be better suited for your triathlon, of course, but it won't handle notifications, mobile payments that well. neither will it be particularly fashionable.

Would be nice for something you're constantly glancing at (like sports scores) to just have it on your wrist rather than pulling your phone out every minute

Have you been to any organized running event in the last 5 years? People run with phones strapped to their arms.

I run 5 to 7 races a year, I do see the people that come straight from the coach to the race line wear them. The ones that run to actual compete don't. Trust me.

I agree. Gen 2 will be killer. I think it needs a year of use for them to hone the tech. Apple Watch 3G with wireless and GPS
