The game is in no way "half arsed" right now but the extra month of polish won't hurt.
The game needs more than polish, there are somethings that flat out aren't working correctly at the moment.

We were told we would be able to receive a copy of the game on the platform of our choice. I, as a full member, wanted to select the game on Xbox One. There has already been a lot of confusion regarding the limited edition copy the game, but this is getting ridiculous now.
People are claiming that backers will receive a portion of the games profits, but I do not recall seeing this anywhere in the 40 months I have been part of this development. Can someone shed some light on this for me? I am considering claiming a refund to put towards my Xbox One copy of the game.
When I signed up, there was a talk about you actually buying a share of the possible profits instead of just crowdfunding. This share-system was also one of the reasons they shut down further backing because IIRC the British authorities were not happy. They used to have on WMDportal the amount of returns one would get from being a certain tiermember. Unfortunately I have not seen the chart for a long time, so I need someone else to elaborate on the actual returns.

There's spreadsheets directly from SMS available on the forums to calculate how much you will get back depending on how much you invested and how many copies of the game are sold.

Check out :Do you mind pointing me in the right direction? I'm not regularly active on the forums so I will have missed this at some point, along with the notification to add our real names into the game as opponents :/

Examples might be useful..?
I agree. I've never had a problem with the (inevitable) Gran Turismo delays either. Get your game right, then release it - not the other way around.better to delay than release a half arsed game.
majority have moaned about BF4 and Driveclub being released when half finished, their reputation was then questioned,
Problems with AI when it comes to pitting I've noticed, cars starting from the run off, falling through the track on certain tracks and wonky physics on unpopular cars. Stuff which makes me nervous about the release, so much so I've also applied for a refund too.

I and many others have been playing it for what, a year or two now?Vaporware confirmed.
Vaporware confirmed.
So how do you get our money/game? As I'm a full member from probably 3+yrs ago but haven't played it for 2yrs as I want this on PS4 not my PC?
Spa, Sonoma Raceway, Brno and Willow Springs confirmed.

I'm fine with them delaying it until they get it right, because they only got one shot with the console versions. Poor reviews and bad first impressions will kill any chances for it to sell well.
This game isn't going to review well (and thankfully their influence on the actual buying market is decreasing every day):
1) A racing sim (hopefully also on consoles....);
2) No carrots on a stick to keep reviewers engaged;
3) No Pokemon style car unlock;
I can't remember the last time the mainstream review sites hired someone to review games that aren't the traditional games and that they don't have the know-how to do an actual review. There will not be VVV Gamer, InsideSimRacing, SimPit kind of in depth review for Project CARS coming from the traditional review sites.
This game will be reviewed by those already on staff (Eurogamer Martin Robinson is the only person on mainstream that shows knowledge of racing games) so we will end with IGN's F1 2012 review that read like Codemasters press release or IGN's Football Manager review that complained about not having actual gameplay and giving it a 2/10.
"Despite the content available from the start, that decision also denies the sense of progression making the game feel stale after the first couple of hours. No defined career mode makes the game feel unfocused and gives the player no reason to keep playing it. You could keep driving the same track on the same cars, but for what reason? There are no story, no cutscenes or character development here to be found, just a shallow racing game that tries too hard to be real with their physics but at the cost of the always important real human feelings."
Read **My Post** post from the other thread, then proceed to read all the shit I got for suggesting the game could never come out and is approaching DNF territory. I stand by my words...

I was under the impression that originally it was only the PC version you would get anyway. Then SM said no free copy for backers under a certain amount but this was met with lots of pitchforks and gnashing of teeth so they went back to the original plan of a free copy.
I honestly do not remember them offering a console copy and quite frankly, I'd be surprised if they did since the publisher has to give Sony/MS a percentage per copy for licensing reasons.
Deservedly so, because it's nonsense.

Bloodworth on gametrailers.com is the only reviewer I trust with racing games, but I agree with your point in general. There's only 2 people max on the main sites that reviews racing games to a tangible level.
That's why so many backers are pissed about it, especially the ones that backed it for the Wii U version.
Lets be honest: that's completely dead in the water. If it does come out it won't be with the PC/Xbone/PS4 version.
From what I hear, they still need the Spa license to release the game.
Spa has been licensed in the last couple of days

It's baffling that the studio that produced MotorStorm, which did the automotive festival thing long before Forza Horizon hit the scene, could create something so devoid of soul.

Yeah, the plan is to license all the tracks and apart from Suzuka they should all be licensed by release. It could be one reason for the delay, but probably not.Is the plan to officially licence all of the copycat circuits (if they haven't already)?
Wasn't Spa called 'Belgian Forest' or something before?
What about official liveries, sponsors, hoardings, product placement etc?
I hope so. Adds a lot to the authenticity, methinks.

Yes if they have the license then it'S the full deal. All the circuits had temporary names during developpement before they got the license. That's just normal procedure.
The only exception is Suzuka which they couldn't get the license. So they kept the placeholder name (Sakitto) and changed the track enough so that it doesn't conflict with the license. The result is a circuit that is just close enough for fans of Suzuka to recognize it but different enough to feel different. I gotta say, I think that I actually prefer Sakitto over Suzuka now haha. The fake version is so fucking fast!
Yeah, there's also a couple of tracks that have been pushed back to DLC because they couldn't get all the licensing deals in place before release.
That looks pretty cool. I recognize all the trackside detail and virtual every portion of the track from suzuka (forwards and backwards) but its remixed into a totally new configuration. Are there more ribbons with the rest of the missing portions of the actual track shuffled in?Second race of our Ginetta G40 Jr. preseason. This time at Sakitto International (fictional track based vaguely on Suzuka).
