Edit: Ok. Now I'm going to have to go full on Blain Cooper when I play. I can see it now. Grab the minigun, blow through all my ammo on a bossfight, attempt to make Blood Bullets then get killed by the boss because I didn't have time to bleed.

Perhaps there will be limited bullets. Though in one of the footages I've seen, he went to town using it.

I think it's a machine gun also, this coming from the guy that spotted the cannon and made a gif. The back and frame of the weapon look totally different frame by frame compared to that screenshot.

Yep. I know Miyazaki is the face of From but those unseen workers contributed much to Bloodborne.

I think the quote in Edge was referring to as it a "brutal riposte" more to fans / former players who were expecting more of the same or thinking that by now the formula would be tired, not so much a riposte against From Software itself. In either case, I think it's a second rate OT subtitle... Like you said, we all know what it should be!

"Miyazaki's brutal riposte" originated in the Edge article. It wasn't intended to be a shot at From. It's toward fans that think that they know what to expect because of three games that are similar to one another.
