I wouldn't classify being gay but against gay marriage and adoption as self hatred.
It's something else that I can't quite pin down. Someone said it earlier about not trying to live life with heterosexual norms in mind. In their eyes I imagine that getting married and having children are inherently straight things and that they shouldn't try to imitate heterosexuals or aspire to heterosexual standards. Plus they probably think it's healthier for a child to grow up with a Mother and a Father as opposed to anything else.

being for gay marriage doesn't mean you have to get gay married
it means you support giving gay people the choice of whether or not they want to get married

I preface this by saying that the comments by Dolce and Gabbana are disgusting and just plain wrong. If I ave a shit about designer clothes I'd boycott them, but alas, I buy $20 jeans and T-shirts from outlet malls.

Elton John supported separate but equal, stating publicly that gays should settle for civil unions. Of course he converted his civil union into a marriage once the opportunity came.
He is friends with right wing blow hard Rush Limbaugh, even performed at his wedding. He also gave Eminem a pass at the height of his career while gay rights groups were denouncing him for his homophobic lyrics.

What they are is vain, superficial & narcissistic high-fashion freaks who live in multi-million dollar mansions, fly around to exotic locations in private jets, party all night sniffing cocaine, and probably fucking a different man every second night (both Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana were in an OPEN romantic relationship for about 20 years).
They're selfish idiots and think just because they are both shallow, promiscuous, and self-centred individuals, that all gays must also be - and thus shouldn't be allowed to marry (considering they both clearly don't believe in monogamy) or raise children (considering they both probably don't even like kids).
