I'm going on vacation the 24th. I actually explained the reason I wanted the break on Feb. 5, and then later rescheduled it when the game was delayed.

Everything went better than expected.

Yeah, at this point I think I'm bailing out as well. I've already surpassed the inquisitve line that I initally set for myself. The good thing is, for the most part, is that all of the leaks thus far have only been the first 2 or 3 levels.

I personally am fine with spoilers since for me it's a different experience actually playing the stuff myself. But I can understand people wanting to bail now. XD
 
Is there a day one patch coming out? the further I get into the game slight things are popping up that are potential...scratch that...they are issues.

once and a while the game will almost freeze, I even hear the audio do the dreaded "BZZ" for a fraction of a second while the game hiccups.

also, my kirk hammer seems to be broken. I just upgraded it to +3 and now the required blood shards are messed, says that I need 3 to get +4......but so far its been a progressive increase of 3, then 5 and then 8 to get to +3. How can I only need 3 to get to +4? the kicker is I have 4 bloodshards in my inventory but the hammer is blacked out signifying that I don't have the requirements to upgrade.......weiiiird.

Yeah there's a day 1 patch. Are you sure it's not a different kind of shard? Might have a very similar name. In Dark Souls 2 from +3 to +4 required a different type of upgrade material. The other Souls games required different upgrade materials for different tiers as well.

There's a day one patch coming. It's specifically been said to address “online play optimizations” and “game performance and usability improvements”. Sorry you're having problems :(

Is it the same type of bloodshard that is required? In Dark Souls the first 3 levels need Titanite chunks shards, but to get to +4 and so I think you need Large Titanite Chunks shards. On the plus side it doesn't eat up as much from a numerical standpoint, but on the downside it's rarer material.

It's shard, then large shard, then chunk, then slab for the final level.

Don't want to jump too much on the hyper pedantic train, but you use large titanite shards to get to +6, then titanite chunks to get to +11 with the titanite slab to get to +15. Obviously it'll be different in Bloodborne though :P
Unless you were talking about DS2 weapon upgrades, in which case that sounds about right because I think they only went up to +10.
But yeah, not like it actually matters XD

No worries, I've been so focused on finishing the last few stages that I haven't been that focused on leveling my weapons. Just don't feel like farming for materials when I don't even remember how to navigate anything before Duke's Archives/Anor Londo, so my memory from two years back is hazy.

Looking at the FuturePress guide, DSII weapons went to +10 with Titanite Slabs. But no, I wasn't referring to that game in particular and had merely stubbed by toe on the material podium.

Avolina's Doll

A rotting wooden amulet with an unrecognizable figure engraved into it.

This may be the problem. The item image looked the same as the material I was previously using. Logic says the process to getting to +4 will be the same as previous games so I assume this is what im facing here.
