God of War III Remastered Soon on PS4

Just dropping into the thread to make sure knows how little I care about this.
On a real note, I'm interested to see this in 1080p, as the engine was already a real technical treat on PS3, so the IQ bump alone should do wonders for it.
Just hope it's reasonably priced, unlike most remasters these days.
My first thought too. Would like to give the multiplayer a proper try with that as it didn't seem worth the hassle of trying it on PS3.
Maybe doing one game at a time makes it easier to release a product that actually works?

This. There were games last gen that were terrible on consoles compared to PC, so being able to experience them with better visuals and framerate....I'm in.

Just GOW3? If it was the original trilogy or + Ascension i could justify buying it again, but i already platinumed it and i dont have any desire to play only 3 again....

I'm asuming that what he is trying to say is that at least MS is remastering whole collections of games just like Sony did last gen.
But as of late Sony seems to be into remastering single games.
They better not charge $40 for this. It's a single game from 2010 and there isn't even any DLC to bundle in with it.

Given how tough it was for ND to port TLoU to PS4, I am not surprised to see only GOW3 arriving on PS4. Other games might be available on PS Now instead.

If you skip all of this gen, you'll get remasters of remasters during gen 8 and get remasters of the good gen 8 games!

There are more than 20 million people who own a PS4 now.
God of War 3 sold less than 10 million copies.
Maybe people didn't own a PS3? Maybe they weren't into gaming when God of War 3 came out? Maybe they weren't interested in it then but now are?
What's wrong with letting them play it at current-gen quality instead of needing to buy a system they might not have and hunt down a used copy of a game to look at visuals which, while being great, are still quite a bit outdated compared to everything else on the PS4?
More specifically, how does this negatively affect you to the point that you don't want it to exist for others for whom it might be awesome?

No it was not. It am amazing game, and the only mediocre part was the labyrinth. All in all it´s one of the best games ever made.

Not really, since many haven't played either of those games, with the exception of possibly GoW 3.
This gen has been good about remasters, which are awesome.
I am guessing they are saving it for later in the year.
Xbox Too would be more accurate.

Yeah a DeS + Dark Souls port (with 60 fps/1080p on both) would be much better. I dunno if PS4's CPU could handle Dark Souls 60/1080p with Dante's solution, they would have to go back and do some optimizing.

They should remaster Warhawk and bump the playercount to 64. Its an obscure enough game that they could sell it as a new title.

I don't get blu-ray or 1080p digital copies of movies I owned on VHS or DVD for free.
Well , GOW 3 had a variable frame rate , between 30 and 60 fps.

I would jump on this if it was all 3 games... but just the third one? No chance in hell.
I doubt they would bother moving Ascension over, seeing how poorly it was received.
