@angry Gaf you guys should definitely keep an eye on tearaway unfolded and gravity rush remake. These games will feel like new experiences IMO with a graphical and performance upgrade. If these release this year, IMO 2 of the best games in recent years just get added to the list of PS4 exclusives. Really really great games that I hope turn into franchise s.

Maybe they couldn't bundle GoW3 and Ascension because of the size of the games? Weren't they pretty damn big? Like 30GB+ each?
Ascension at a locked 60fps would be pretty amazing. GoW3 was always amazing, but it also ran very smooth, even if it did have regular drops.

Sorry I meant Bluepoint is doing them, not SSM. Though SSM does a lot of support work for other studios so they may have some resources involved.

I'm sure people give some kind of excuse saying that the architecture was far different for GOW 1 & 2 and 3 was easier to port/remaster/etc. If that were the case then why aren't they remastering Ascension too?
It just seems like 1) because they've already "remastered" GOW 1 & 2 with the GOW collection on ps3 and 2) it seems like a cash grab to release ascension later on it's own.
but it just seems silly that either the trilogy wouldn't be remastered and bundled or if you're going with the rationale that GOW 1 & 2 were already remastered for PS3, that Ascension isn't being remastered along with it as well.

A ton of their userbase (especially in the west) are probably Xbox converts from last gen so this is new to them and gives them some filler titles. It's not like this is coming in place of GoW4. It probably takes a fraction of the resources. Outside of a clickbait-esque hot take or just complaining for the sake of complaining I don't see the big deal.

I will platinum this again, just give me a better PPAA solution, something like SMAA 2TX so that all the thin lines in the hades level are shimmer free, improve the textures and effects, 1080 and 60fps is already a given, so It's a lock. I'd love to have ascension as well, wonder why they won't include that one?

I don't mind remasters, and I'm actually excited to see Gravity Rush coming over (which I take it is in preparation for the PS4 re-reveal of the sequel), but if you're gonna bring God of War III to PS4, at least do it alongside the rest of the collection. No point in buying God of War III for $40 on PS4 when I can buy God of War I, II, II, Chains of Olympus, and Ghost of Sparta for $20 on PS3. I mean, unless you only have a PS4, which I get. But why half-ass the series' transition to the new console?

It's the worst of the numbered games. there's no defending the back half of that game. It's like they ran out of money and time but still needed to fill 3 hours of time garbage.
I haven't played ascension, and i enjoyed the PSP games for what they were, but for a numbered GOW game it was uneven at best.
Also, if they're charging more than $20 for this then hahahahaha. and that's coming from someone who owns all of the games and is a fan of the series.
