BLOODBORNE Spoiler Thread (read OP)

We just got to see the
massive spider creature on the bell tower from the beginning in more detail. It looks like it plays a big part in the story.

The answer of Miyazaki about the number of weapons :

There’s been a little consternation among Souls fans on the web at the suggestion that Bloodborne won’t feature quite so many weapons as in the Souls games. Can you clarify exactly how the weapon system works in Bloodborne?

Hidetaka Miyazaki: In terms of how many physical weapons there are, the amount is less than in a Souls game, but that’s to some extent a decision made due to the game design.

The weapons transform – so one weapon will have various uses and strategies that you can implement. You can also customise your weapon with Blood Gems. There are different types and you can slot in up to three at a time. One gem might have you use less stamina per swing, for example.

You can have many different combinations – so actually the amount of weapons in Souls is absorbed in Bloodborne by this customisation element and how someone can tailor a weapon to how they want to use it. In a way, the variety is still there, but it’s absorbed down on a customisation level, rather than in the quantity of actual weapons, much more than in Souls

fuck this, I thought the game (us version) was unlocking the 23 here, instead it's the 24 at 4 am. ugh

also I set the us account as primary but it still doesn't show up in the library (eu account) of the psn games. I guess it's because I have to download it first, then it should show up there, I hope.

Agreed. Getting 10 broken swords filling up your inventory was a pain in DkS. Glad they thought the weapons out more then just filling up your inventory with tons of weapons. I prefer customization and quality over quantity any day. I only ever used 3-4 weapons in DkS anyway.

I killed him with my fist!
so I went up the ladder and ported to the Hunters Dream and got my weapons now but I noticed something different.
The doors are open to the place.

When I died earlier it was closed off.

Yeah hearing that there would be a Bloodborne app for them was what got me interested, sounds awesome. Watching the CE unboxing has sealed it, i'm going for the headphones :)
 
Ugh. The wait is made that much worse knowing there are so many shops breaking street date. All I have around me in central NJ are major retailers (Target, Best Buy, Gamestop, Walmart) who won't break street date.

I feel like I'm jonesing.

I never understood why people hate on other people who get games early. The ones who report you. That's so stupid, just don't watch the stream.
 
I'm not watching the stream anymore but from what i saw i think what that guy on reddit said must be true.

This is on the mark about Souls game.
Too many weapons, but let's be honest, majority of us roll with the most effective weapon+upgrade.
If I remember correct, claymore with its all time great moveset+thunder can carry you through everything.

Lowering the total weapon number, but increasing the customization allows more varieties than the elemental upgrade system.
 
I much prefer the fact there's less weapons. As mentioned there were a ton in the souls games and I generally only used a few.
 
Think that's me outta here now. I'll end up spoiling it for myself. Not watched any streams so I've done well so far. Only watched the cut you down and launch trailer as well.
