monday.
thank you.

It's a real chore sitting here at work, knowing BB is just laying peacefully inside my PS4 at home. I spent a good hour on the character creation alone, trying to get my guy to look like James Purefoy from Solomon Kane. Only got to play a bit of the first area before I had to get some sleep for work; already I'm sucked in to atmosphere of this game. Went with the cane/blunderbuss combo; good shit so far!

Hoping to go for a skill/endurance/vital build for Cane/
Katana

What class is better? Professional or Troubled Childhood. Will this affect my story?

I really can't be the only who is seriously underwhelmed. Aside from a few most these bosses have been painfully weak. Like he's completely dicking around and still shit stomping them with barest of effort.

Isn't that kind of the way Dark Souls was too though? Taurus, Capra, O&S, Gwyn, and a few others were really hard but...

I think people are looking back at the Soul's games difficulty with some rose tinted glasses. Most normal enemies and bosses were weak or had easy to exploit gimmicks imo. Not to mention, the more you played, the easier the game is. This dudes been playing for over thirty hours with leveling up himself and weapons, but most people were stuck for hours getting ripped apart by the Cleric beast.

Agree with the above poster, maybe the first time some bosses are hard but once you learn the game you can trivialize most bosses and really there's only a few well-known walls people hit like O&S, and even then you can find tons of videos of people trivializing bosses like that too.

You know, that is a good point. I beat most of them on my first few tries. Only a few were exceptional (O&S, Artorias)

I think I'm just used to the BS bosses in DS2 at this point.

Bosses in Dark are not really hard. Atleast most are not. Demons is even easier. The game is more a test of patience rather than out right difficulty. Ofcourse there are exceptions to the rule.

DS2 just ups the number of bosses you have to tackle at a time and difficulty for the heck of it. Piss poor boss design.

The game isn't disappointing me, but the bosses sure are. But as others said, there were tons of cakewalk bosses in Demons and Dark Souls as well.

only bosses I've seen are
cleric beast and blood starved beast, and neither looked easy. the latter actually looked pretty brutal, and the player, who was not a souls newb, died a lot of times.

It's not only that. People already faminlar to the series always want some super duper difficulty without thinking about first time players. ( see the countless discussions on how hard X soul seris game was the first time it was played) Of course if you played a game in this style before you know how certain thing operate but that doesn't take away from the joy of the game. Would have been nice if bloodborne gave a harder opportunity to increase your difficulity to NG+ levels straight out the gate like Dark Souls 2 though.

It's not that I want super duper difficulty, but I want the later bosses to put up a challenge. Mobius has been standing directly under some bosses just swatting at them until they die, with very little resistance.

It reminds me of what I read about what happened to Everquest and the subsequent changes from that that continue to effect MMOs to this day. Where a very small portion of the playerbase plays the game obsessively and gorges through content by doing something like mobius (no offense, really appreciate the stream he's doing and the time he's dedicated to staying up for this long) and playing the game like 3 days straight, and then when they've finished the content whine for more and make it harder etc etc. Like someone people are trying to talk trash because this playthrough will wrap up around maybe 40+ hours. When I told all my Souls playing friends that 45 hours is what someone finished they thought it was perfectly fine, and people asking for more are insane, because they are, because they stay up for three days playing video games.

You haven't encountered head on against the
gatling gun guard/knight in Old Yharnam

I had a lot of problems dealing with
Father Gregoire in his wolf form, trailer was no joke
.

To be honest, that has been my easy go to strategy for most bosses in the series. Especially in 2, where circle strafing or standing close and just smashing them with the starter mace worked almost 95% of the time, even on latter bosses.

Have people watched Mobius play for the entire 30 hours he did? He did have trouble through some areas you know, he is going through older areas to find where to go next. He could do the Chalice dungeon or use a different weapon for a change also he can't play online to engage in that pvp stuff. People are not exactly seeing what this game has to offer.

sti losing patience

Souls games do this to people. They see the victory in their grasp and get greedy, then they die. Always have to keep your defense up, even if the boss only has a couple pixels of life left.

None of what you said would change what we saw happen with some of the later bosses. The AI was just bad. But that's pretty consistent with DS1 and Demon's Souls. Not all the bosses are going to be hard. It was just disappointing because some of the worst encounters happened with some of the coolest looking bosses.

The game otherwise has been outstanding, and will only get better once the online stuff is active.

1. Can't believe I've wasted 30 hours on this and 2. You are really right about the bolded, which is probably a major reason why From and Sony don't like streams of the game being out early.

Gonna start worrying about Mobius soon, lol..30 hours straight...no sleep...crap for food...

He is going to be the next headline "Man dies playing game for xx hours straight!"

Help me ya'll...
I pre-ordered Bloodborne, have it set to auto-download.
I am going away..won't be home till late Monday night. PS4 is set to Rest Mode, have my VITA for remote play.

Typically, when does the pre-load usually kick off?

More of our new bestie The Doll
That clap is too cute
That's cool how
she reacts to your expressions
but wtf
is with the lack of facial animation, really From, still?! In your next gen game?! It by no means has to be perfectly synced up or anything. But at least do something with that rig.

He needs to log off and go to bed. Just get away from the idiots in his stream. Not sure why he's even reading that garbage.

Around 2pm Eastern time on the Sunday prior to release day.

Oh ok. Cause that's one of the main things that annoyed the hell out of me in the other games. Especially after finding out that they had made some and then took them out of the game, (accessible via modding).

So, does the final version look as good as this or this, or were those bullshots?
I think they're bullshots due to having absolutely no aliasing whatsoever.

At least it sounds like we got next gen framerate from them.

Being sleep deprived with a lot of people watching you cannot be healthy, maybe he's just reading to stay awake?
