I'm anti-pickles

I was buying coffee at the 7-11 across the street from my school one time and through some series of events a man ahead of me in line was given a pickle to try by one of the cashiers, I suppose he had never had a pickle before. So he takes a bite and runs out of the store (throws up?) and eventually comes back talking about how nasty it was and how he couldn't believe "you people" ate this stuff.

Anyway, I like pickles. Put them on a burger with some mustard and you've got good stuff. Anyone ever tried fried pickles? They have them at Harvey's but I don't really have any interest in trying them. Those sound nasty, and without having actually tried them I'm anti-fried pickle.

I've tried them at a Texas Roadhouse once. They tasted super salty (no table salt was added by me) and just tasted terrible. I wouldn't recommend it.

I like pickles. But I don't like Pickles.

I'm with you.
A single pickle slice will ruin a good burger for me. I can't stand the taste.
I hated pickles so much I didn't eat cucumbers until I realized they don't taste the same.

Last night my friend made me a surprise shot and didn't tell me what it was. It was pickle juice and it was awful, mostly because you didn't know what it was until after.

#teampickles

Only thing I hate is playing the "is it sweet or dill" game. Dill pickles are awesome. Sweet pickles can fuck right off
...but I'll still eat 'em
.

Agreed, pickles are gross as are tomatoes, tomatoes are a little less disgusting though. I still ask for neither to be on my burger however...

I'm with the OP, pickles taste out of place in sandwiches. It adds an overpowering "bitter" taste that ruins everything else in the sandwich.

Open yourself to the world of pickles. It's not just cucumbers. The Japanese have a great pickling tradition as well--tsukemono. They're delicious.

The number of anti-pickle comments here is pretty embarrassing. Pickles are delicious on sandwiches and bergers, or by themselves, and are an amazing way to enhance the flavor and texture of food. Expand your palates you plebeians.

Well, I just tried a couple.

They're OK, I guess. Definitely not my first choice when it comes to snacking. I should at least be able to eat what I bought, though.

Agree with OP 100%. Tomatoes, Onions, Lettuce - peel all those off, and you'd never know they were there. But pickles? Once a pickle touches a burger, it's ruined.

I really detest pickles and I've notifed more and more an awful sin being perpetuated by sandwich shops-they put pickles on sandwiches by default-without asking. The pickle juice ruins the sandwich-now completely soaked with awful disgusting, piss-like juice.

Who's with me? Who will take a stand against this atrocioity?

OP, I'm with you... Pickles are the worst. They are habitual flavor stealers. You put a pickle on something and all you can taste is pickle.

being anti-pickle made sure i always got a fresh burger :-)

I like most kinds of pickled vegetables - onions, peppers, carrots, daikon, cabbage, etc.

But I detest the pickled cucumbers that "pickles" usually refers to. They are terrible and they ruin anything they touch.

Literally the best part of the sandwich next to the meat. Hell, one of my favorite sandwich shops is named Mr. Pickles. They're also great to just snack on. These are a god tier brand for snacking on.

look, i don't believe in god or anything, but you're doing the lords work.

my wife and i CANNOT have burger night without claussen pickles of some kind. it just wouldn't be right without them.
