I sure hope so, but you'll have to forgive me from not believing random internet dude about exclusives. Especially Sony exclusives. Day one either way, but "From's Ocarina of time" made my eyes roll up into my head.

From the stuff I've seen on neogaf alone, I wouldn't think it runs well at all. People keep saying it runs better than the Souls games on consoles. What kind of ridiculous thing is that to say? I can live with 30fps if it's locked or dips every now and then. Massive drops in frames is not acceptable no matter how hard people try to spin it.

So what you're saying is, you don't put much faith in impressions from random people on Neogaf. Unless, of course, those impressions are negative. And where exactly are you getting these 'massive drops in frames' from?

Just finished up about an hour and half session, whoever likes the Souls games will definitely like this. There are some technical problems though, the framerate is not consistent at all, when you're indoors it's smooth, but in the outdoor areas the framerate takes a bit of a dive. Also the game is not a looker, although the artstyle brings it up a few notches. Overall I'm enjoying the heck out of it, but really wish this ran better.

The hell you talking about? This game is definitely a looker. The art style is amazing The framerate is pretty consistent also. It doesn't hinder my enjoyment of the game at all.

To be fair, often we have to wait until 12 am Pacific for game launches which sucks for people in the central and eastern time zones... I'm not going to start playing a game at 3 am but if it's midnight I could put in an hour or 2.

Good for you my man, I'm glad the framerate doesn't hinder your enjoyment. The game doesn't look that great to me, it's by no means an ugly game, the art style is indeed great. I'm just going by what I'm playing.

The downside of the MV is that its starting points are spread across both DEX (13)and STR (14). That's a lot of "wasted" early points considering the early weapons don't benefit from both those stats.

The scythe only requires 10 STR btw, so it would be more efficient if you chose another class for your scythe-character.

You can always go with a quality build and put points into both STR and SKILL. Then you can use pretty much anything you want.

I watched a bit of a stream last night by a total souls noobie -- it took him over 2 hours just to get TO the first boss. He was getting utterly fileted. That said, he had a good attitude so he had a good time.

Yes, but watch out for the stat requirements on some of the weapons that you'd want to play with. An early example of this is the Kirkhammer which requires 10 SKL. The Violent Past starts with 9 SKL so if you want to go the hammer-route then you'll have to put the required points.

Is that what you'd recommend for someone going the Kirkhammer route? To roll Violent Past and put the 1 point into SKL.
