One Junior, who claimed he had "sources" that said IGN gave the game a 9.5 got banned for refusing to verify his sources. IGN's review is in progress with no score, but who knows. Maybe he'll be right in a few days.
I lost about 6000 blood echos cause I wandered into the boss area. Now I'm lost near
the central bonfire not sure if I should be going back to where those two huge axe welding dudes are or if there's a shortcut I opened somewhere.
The atmosphere in this damn game though. It's so fucking goooood I can't take it.

I didn't see any bans. Nothing new happened, people started playing about 2 and a half hours ago. I have more posts in this thread than you now. But I'm going to bed and you just woke up, so I'll surely be out-posted by you now.

Holy shit, just beat Cleric demon solo. I guess replay dark souls 1 last week help 
Damn I thought I was pretty decent at Dark Souls, but this first section in the game has been whooping my ass so far. Is there some Shortcut I'm missing or something? It takes alot taking out all those dudes near that big fire!

...help? My weapon has like 50% durability left and I don't want to think what would happen if it broke before I had a chance to fix it.

Really enjoying the game so far for the most part, but there's a few things that will take a lot of adjustment.
1. It doesn't feel like it's even playing at 30fps if there's more than two enemies on screen. Most of the time the game feels like it's hovering between 20fps - 25fps.
2. Chromatic Aberration is the worst postprocessing effect imaginable and the game is smeared with it everywhere. I don't know what its intended purpose is (AA replacement?), but it's god awful ugly like everyting has motion blur applied; while stationary. I can't imagine people with good vision actually thought this looked fine.
In case you don't know what I'm talking about, here's chromatic aberration:

I really don't like the Souls games, what are the chances I'll enjoy this one? I prefer the era and atmosphere a lot more, and I like the designs of some of the monsters. Other than that, I'm pretty clueless.

Had the best time just playing this for an hour at the same time with my bro through the intro and we were pretty much dying at the same parts together. Good times haha! Can't wait to get Co-op. Think I might make 2 characters though, one to co-op with my bro, and one to play solo. I always like the satisfaction of playing these games solo and overcoming everything on my own, but my brother decided to give this game a go (it's his first FromSoft game) so I've been thinking of finally trying the co-op summoning stuff for once.

I don't think you can cancel anything in this game. Souls games didn't have animation canceling, as far as I know.
