Ugh I want to buy this so bad but have spent way too much money on games the last two month. Digital for me. For damn sure.

I think I'll cancel my Batman for this.

Game is addiction lol, I died for 3 hrs then got hang of it. Definitely the best ps4 game out.

The game is soooooo good. The only thing that sucks is my job. Cause it is getting in the way of me playing it.

I'm sure this has been asked again and again but any tips on defeating
Cleric Beast
?

I've only tried three times so far. My current strategy is pretty basic, just trying to stay behind/underneath it while I charge up powerful attacks at it's legs. Am I on the right track? Or should I try something else?

I am so ass horrible at parrying with the gun it's unreal. I practiced on those big brick dudes for like...hours and I still can't get the timing down.

Which makes my battle with
Father G
all the more amusing if other people's posts about how hard it is without parrying are anything to go by. Beat him on my 2nd try, no parrying, just dodging

Is there a shortcut to 2nd boss
Father Gascion?
. That run is long.

outside of house (3 stories) is lower area with two big guys with hammers. Run past them to elevator. Go down elevator. Then go up across bridge with rolling boulder and up a little more to the left and you will see the graveyard. should be tons of signs from people warning of boss

Man fuuuuck Cleric Beast, took me over 20 tries to kill this fucker. Like, how the hell are you supposed to not get wrecked by the boss repeatedly? Dude has a bajjilion health, awful camera, awful space to fight in, attack with large range that are hard to evade due to reasons already stated, and the fucking riposte/parry mechanic is completely shit and unreliable on him?

Hope this isn't what the rest of the bosses are like, because fuck that shit.

Stop playing intelligently and just mash the charged-up one handed R2 attack. At least that's how I won with the hunter axe.

Was really pissed at this being the solution after dying to it like 10 times.

You can stagger it with your gun and do a 200-something damage critical attack but I could not for the life of me figure out the timing for it. Seems like just shooting him twice at the start triggers it but afterwards it stops working.

This is gonna sound strange, but play with the sound turned off. You'll focus on the visual and not get distracted by the audio.

Man, co-op is so damn fun. lol.

Boss fights are actually fun, you earn souls for killing them and insight. Really no negatives.

Yeah the co-op is always a blast in these games. Bloodborne has done a great job at making it more user friendly (no more hunting for signs!) to just jump online and do some cooperation too.

Camera pissed me off too. So satisfying to finally beat him though.

Anyone wanna password up and help me out with B

? That grab just continually one-shots me. :(

Seriously I have come across so many differing opinions. For someone who sucks at these games what is the best origin/weapons to use. I really want to give this a fair shot.

For beginners just beef up. Go for a high strength origin and get the axe as your weapon to 1-hit kill most beginner enemies.

What's the highest str requirement on a weapon that anyone knows of? I went from 16 to 18 to equip the wrist poker thing and found it to be underwhelming... Situationally useful at best. So Noe I hope the 18 str ends up coming in handy in future weapons.

Where exactly do you get the equipment to do co-op and pvp? I have the Beckoning Bell, but ringing it doesn't seem to do anything.

You need 10 insight, than the big tub thing outside one of the doors in the house will sell them. The tub looks identical to the one where you buy bloodviles and bullets

Anyone get any luck getting someone to answer your reckoning bell?

I did! Right before the second boss. Guy took 2 minutes to appear and then we bowed and went in. I promptly died in about 10 seconds. I sent him an apology message lol

Oh yeah. Been co-oping all night and it has been glorious. Makes the game super easy though, which is the draw back.

Where do you get all your insight? I have one left and im scared to use it.

Father G Down! Took 3 tries but Parry + Molotovs was the ticket... To think, I never once did a party over 300 hours of Soul's games and now it's addicting once you get it down...

Edit: Damn, I forgot to use the music box lol.

After having my ass handed to me yesterday just walking about,
I hit a stride and beat CB on my first try, found the saw spear, bought the kirk hammer, found the other hunter dude, beat the executioner guy near the beginning, made my way through the sewer, and activated the elevator.

I'm now faced with a giant rat or an ominous bridge with townspeople on the other side staring at me.

I think I'll try my luck with the townspeople first. The rat seems like a "come back when you get some levels" kinda enemy.

Good day of hunting.

There's an elevator to the left of the bridge where the ball of flame comes rolling after you

Thanks, it was locked before. Don't know how I unlocked it.

God this game can be beautiful at times. That art direction tho

I just can't seem to get it down how you dodge in this game. Every time I try to dodge the Cleric Beasts attacks he lands the hit. FUCK!

Level up a little with vitality and stamina so you can take a hit or two and roll away from him.

Dont lock on

Burn him and reposte

Dont get the nervous shakes when he's s about to die just keep moving

In the
Cathedral area? If so, he's way overlevelled for post lvl 2 people.

I guess so, he had a lightning mace friend. I think i found a way to cheese him. Sneak up on him and visceral him then play ring around a tree to occasionally combo him
