Is anyone else unable to see specters? They won't load for me in Central Yarnham or at the start in the clinic. The only time they worked was in the Hunters' Dream. Everywhere else I hit the "view" button and the Messengers and gravestone sink down into the ground but no model loads in.
almost beat Father G first try completely blind then i got stuck and died to his jump attack, he was so low on health, ugh. beat him second try and got all my blood echoes back. but man, i wanted to have a nice archive of my first try kill against him. heard he's hard for a lot of people. i didn't have much trouble with him for some reason.
I almost had him on the second try. The first time, he actually locked me into a combo that I couldn't escape from and died immediately. I managed to kill Cleric Beast on my second try (using the threaded cane in whip mode), but Father G is really difficult for me. Died to him a few more times. It just might be fatigue, since I played a lot. But the camera in that fight is fucking awful. At least it's really quick to get back to him after dying.
The Wheelchair guy in hunters dream isn't where he was for me, and hasn't been for a few hours. This happen to anyone else? Before you ask, I did not attack him.
Game should have been dinged in reviews for the terrible load times
Its like all these kind of DS games, trial and error is super important if you want to actually play the game and learn (vs say watching youtube playthroughs)
So the long load times are just sucking the enthusiasm of explorating and practicing techniques on tougher enemies. Because of load times, I want to avoid tough enemies just to prevent loading waits...which is likely very bad practice in terms of learning for tougher fights ahead.
Ugh, very frustrated right now. Apart from this ruining my fun, everything about the game is excellent - huge step up graphically, alterable weapons are very unique and fun to learn, like the more active combat vs shields/blocking in prior games.

Do the gemstones that add poison effect actually give your weapon poison, or do they simply improve the effect of poison you can buff your weapon with?
ok, what the fuck is going on here. I went back to the clinic, mid-late game spoilers
I found a female npc who turned hostile right away, I killed her. did I fuck up? What was I supposed to use in order for her to don't be hostile?
also,
I sent the crazy man of the forest to the clinic but I can't find him anywhere. plus the lady that promised me a "reward" if I brought back people to the clinic is gone.
why?
so what's the incentive for co-op besides that feeling of satisfaction helping someone overcome a boss? IIRC you don't really get many blood echoes and your vials don't replenish if you win
Finally got a chance to dive in. Took a bit of adjusting, but I'm in love already.
I've found, like, three lamps. The first one I got from dying at the beginning. The second I stumbled upon fairly quickly. The third required I run around through way too many locations, carrying increasingly too many souls, only to suddenly have a boss drop on me. It was a pretty amazing adrenaline rush seeing the boss go down and a lamp pop up. Lol.
Went into the Hunter's Dream, saw that
wtf is the doll alive now
, and threw the PS4 into rest mode. I have this feeling of needing a break but badly wanting to continue at the same time.
One question. Found an NPC
in the area above the rat tunnels
who ended up giving me a cape or something, but I couldn't find it in my inventory. What was that?
I don't even know if I have one of them. I do have some odd
snail looking item. Is that one? Also I just finished the boss with all the spiders, woudl you say that is accurate and it's half way?
Sucks the guide couldnt come out on release. I have no problems being requirments for endings but I don't know if I can play this again right away to get the best ending which sucks. lol
I don't understand why people think that they chose to have long loading times. As if somewhere in a meeting someone went "you know what Miyazaki-San, we should throw some long loading times in, that'll show people". Whilst they may be a pain, they're nothing worth impacting review scores over.

See its funny, because I heard about 40-50 second load times yet I haven't seen one longer then 20 seconds......I wonder if its because most of the textures and stuff is being saved to the flash memory in my SSHD
Dude, you're getting your ass handed to you because you're fighting her front and keeping your distance. Stay close to her legs and dodge around to her ass at all times.
I sent a guy in the forest to the chapel, went back and someone I sent before him died. Then I left and went back and now the old lady is gone. The demon thing said "it looks like a beast killed him, but where has it gone?".I'm pretty sure the guy from the forest is killing people, so should I just kill him or leave him be?
I'm near the cathedral where you need to drop from platform to platform and it drives me insane. I think I need to jump one time but I haven't pulled it off
