Wellp....

Is this my punishment for the late OT?

I DIED

He stays the fuck on you once he starts freaking out. Fight is nuts.

He is annoying but pretty dumb. You can hit him a couple of times when he cools for a bit and repeat. You can also throw a shit ton of molotovs at him, though it's a bit less fun that way

Wait a second. He? Are you guys just using that in a general sense, or did I some how do things in a different order? Because this boss is a she.

To be clear, I'm talking about
Vicar Amelia.

Two ways:

Go outside her church and to the right. Follow the way to a village area.
Go back to the plaza and take in the 90° directon the right exit, then left, down the stairs in the house and you will meet Alfred again now. Talk to him with the new option and he will give you a password. Go down the stairs, open the door with the password and go to the Forgotten Forest
actually you get the password from the cutscene after the 4th boss. :p

anyway since you're NG+, do you have any info about this? / reposting for new page.

I went back to the clinic, no idea what was going on - mid-late game spoilers

-
I found a female npc who turned hostile right away, I killed her. did I fuck up? What was I supposed to use in order for her to don't be hostile? She used some weird magic.

-
I sent the crazy man of the forest to the clinic but I can't find him anywhere. plus the lady that promised me a "reward" if I brought back people to the clinic is gone. was she the alien-thing monster that I found dead? Rip.
why?

also do we know something about
the fucking beast mode?
Do they still have to patch it in or what.

So do any enemies drop Insight? I'm trying to fight the
Blood-Starved Beast
right now and it's a brick wall right now. And my dumb ass decided to spend all my humanity trying to get summons to help me right before I was told how to get the Resonant Bell.

Huzzah! Finally beat Father Gascoigne!

But he only dropped the Odean Tomb key, and no token for his gear to be available from the vendor? Also, I dont remember how mnay souls I got from killing him, but it was between 2-3K.

I was under the impression you got Gascoigne's Set available to you from the Bath Merchant in the Hunters Dream as a reward.

(Conversely, I was at 8 Insight when I beat him, and had read that Gascoigne's Set gear was available at the merchant if you have 10 Insight, to which I just used 2 madmans masks to bump myself to 10, reloaded with a few lamps, and still no Gear set available.)

This game makes me cry....its fcking hard.

Two question
1. Can you counter the first boss? If so how do you know you did it right?
2. Should I use the (souls like things) to get more blood echos, so I can spend it on upgrades?

1. You need to shoot the beast in the face with a couple of shots. It will drop to its knees and you can go in for a visceral attack. You can redo this after some time, when the beast regrows its face. I also think I got a few stuns in with the molotovs. I think two well-placed shots are enough to trigger the stun.

lol, summoned a hunter to fight the 2nd Boss. Just the second I died he cut him down and in my loading screen I got the trophy. Startet with Blood and Insight tough :D

Way I beat him is
to use the pistol to parry in the first half of the fight. He comes more slowly and does attacks that are easier to time the parries on. Then in the second half once he gets enraged and faster, pepper him with oil and Molotovs.
It's fucking tough even with that strategy, but it's how I did it.

Ty. Ill try this. This fight doesnt feel fair at all.

Fun? Fuck fun. This game ain't about fun. It's about brutality and survival. Get a win any way you can.

well I've messed around with this enough and checked around and nothing so....debuff question

anyone know what this debuff is that is slowly draining my health? I cant use any items to cure it, and it persists in the dream world as well. the icon is a white ribcage with an arrow going down

So I'm lvl 21 so far and just got to
Old Yharnam
and what the hell is this hellhole? O.o

Edit: Also, does anyone know if the lvl ranges are still the same as in Dark Souls? 10+10%? I'm trying to stay low so I'm still able to help some friends new to the series.

It doesn't change the parry timing... well except you use the canon which is a bit slower and consumes way more bullets. They are useless because they dont do damage.

When I was low on vials I just went my farming route:

Central Yharnam
Go to the left shortcut, kill the dude down there, go into the house and kill everyone (sometimes +2 vials, 4QS bullets)
Go up the bridge, lure the werewolves back to the house
Get inside and cheap them to death because they wont hit you (+6 vials)
Kill the big dude on the bridge by abusing parry (+2 vials)
Go down to the other two dudes and do the same (+4 vials)

Easy.

Thanks! My route isn't as efficient as yours.

If you have 10 insight, go to the dream refuge and find the vendor there that sells the small resonant bell for 1 insight.

Then you can offer yourself to others

Thanks! I got it.

The
fat naked rolling dude with a hammer
in the chalice dungeon is such an obvious joke about fat-roll Havels from past games i love it.

This game is too damn hard. Where is the third lamp thing? I was holding my own against the two wolves when that hammer hand dude caught me off guard :(

Do they still have to patch it in or what.

NPCs don't do shit and only give you gestures. The quests are buggy too. In my NG+ the person you mentioned still lives because she said she would kill me if I go upstairs inside the house. :P

For your mentioned mode:

You get beast claws as a weapon where the beast status is important. The more you use the special attack and items the more you arm will transform and do more damage

At the moment I am going for the true ending and well the things that I missed like Covenants (found two new ones, one of them is very badass).

Are you trying to summon or trying to get summoned? I'm constantly getting summoned by ringing the bell right outside a boss area.

Trying to summon. Waited for 5 minutes. Had something like an aura around me? Guess that means it was searching?

Anyway, after five minutes I just went ahead and took on the boss alone.

So I've upgraded my starting weapon to +3. Is this a waste of blood gems? I've only found 1 other weapon (I'm at the end of
Old Yharnam
) and it isn't a very good one. I really like the starting weapon, but I just realized that I probably should've saved the gems for a better weapon.

Here's a tip for anyone just starting: learn how to parry. If you don't, you damn sure aren't getting very far.
You mean stunning them with the gun and then getting a critical strike? I've only used that once or twice and I'm a decent ways in.

Nope, not a waste at all. Very helpful upgrade plus you can find or even buy many more for other weapons.

I want to love the Kirkhammer, but I cant. It's too slow and besides a charged hammer attack, it just doesn't deal much damage in hammer mode. Axe seems a lot better and safer.

Has anyone confirmed the level difference for coop? I know it was previously 10 levels difference, but has that changed with this game? Can anyone confirm or deny?
