After completing the game 100% solo, the only boss I that caused me some proper frustration was

Though, I seem to have missed a lot of content, if this thread is anything to go by.
Which I can't understand, cause I've been really thorough, and have went through all the areas several times.

All in all, the game wasn't as difficult as I had hoped. (Sorry to the guys who's having a hard time.)
Could be cause I went with axe, and then great sword for the rest of my play through.

One level costs me 70k souls now. With STR at 50 and my great sword maxed out, there isn't really any way I can upgrade my damage output anymore, which kinda sucks.

Invest in Skill, it has a B scaling in that as well.

Great game. Died a ton, then eased into it abit more. I still fumble with wrong buttons constantly e.g. X when I'm supposed to heal and L3 for running. Some other game is stuck in my head I guess.

This is a nice bit of fresh gaming air. 4 friends bought a PS4 for this. I was surprised for the fourth guy, as he bought it so suddenly. Tried shareplay with him while his Bloodborne was downloading. That was a nice feature. He got to at least try a bit before sleep.

I get Evilores camera complaint. First boss, if you have lock-on, its a nightmare. Without, you can actually see something else than walls.

Madmans Insight

Still of mixed opinions on the Insight mechanic - found it overly restrictive at the start, especially if you want to try and get help at the two first bosses.

Now that I'm a bit further in - not finding it to be that much of an issue, and guess I do sort of like how it encourages people to keep being available for co-op if they want to be able to summon others later on.

I can see why they want Insight limited early on, but it also makes one of the best aspects of the game slow to get off the ground. I still have vivid memories of Dark Souls 2 launch day and seeing literally dozens of Summon Sign graffiti all over the Forest. It was an amazing and special time that would never repeat. Bloodborne missed out on this by design.

So I killed the Gatling gun guy today. I also went back and bought the 10000BE (blood echoes) key to the gate by the cathedral and made it to the boss. It seems kind of like a Cleric Beast 2.0. I died the first time and summoned the second and we managed to beat it. I have the bell to summon, but not the item to help others. Did I miss it or is it found later in the game?

Just play the game normally. A bit after the second boss I'd collected enough Insight to be able to buy the bell. After that, Insight is easy to get.

People should watch EpicNameBro's first couple of videos and maybe consider restarting after seeing how he goes about things.

Obviously he's a pro, and makes stuff look significantly easier than it is, but if nothing else it shows quite how much can be accomplished without even getting close to a boss.

It's just so amazing, just fought the 2nd boss and man that fight is some good stuff, I got killed because I got stuck while trying to dodge away, got him to 10%, I will definitely beat him on my second try.

Once you have 10 insight you can purchase the other bell at the fountain right outside the workshop in the hunters dream.

So I bought the Repeating Pistol and I'm not liking it as much as the standard Hunter Pistol+1 I had before. Seems harder to stun with (does fortifying help with that?) and the added ammo consumption is obnoxious. Problem is, I sold the Hunter Pistol. Is there a buyback option or another quality one ammo weapon coming up or should I just buy another Hunter Pistol?

Exact same thing happened to me, but it wasn't about Dark Souls tactics. For me it was the piss ass camera and actually trying to avoid getting hit and landing a hit. I finally just said fuck it and stayed up close and would roll anytime an attack was coming. That would get me grabbed, but it was the only way I could beat the boss (since you can't see shit when you're on top of it).

I took Cleric Beast down to %10 health my first try but I'm not going to try again for a long time because it took over 30 minutes since I barely do any damage. Just chopping wood for 30 minutes.

HELP!

I was fighting the gatling gun hunter on Old Yharnam, when I was close to killing the fucking SOB (couldn't see red on his health bar anymore) the bastard suicided rolling at the edge of the platform to his doom.

I went down looking for his body to loot but I couldn't find it, I suicided on the same spot he jumped but when I came back only my blood pool was there and now I can't loot his fucking body... :-(

What I am missing???

Using the Bold Hunter's Mark feels a bit like cheating. It takes away the of tension of losing souls.

But it's very handy.
