HELP!

I was fighting the gatling gun hunter on Old Yharnam, when I was close to killing the fucking SOB (couldn't see red on his health bar anymore) the bastard suicided rolling at the edge of the platform to his doom.

I went down looking for his body to loot but I couldn't find it, I suicided on the same spot he jumped but when I came back only my blood pool was there and now I can't loot his fucking body... :-(

What I am missing???

if an enemy suicides log out and back in and you the loot should be right there.

So I'm officially stuck.
Beat Cleric, Father and Blood Soaked Beast (?) looked around and all I see are locked doors and closed gates. Any tips on where to head now?

Buy the 10k souls key from hunters dream and go to the cathedral.

Ironically, im stuck on what to do after cathedral.

Hey I just started this game a couple hours ago and need some help. I just got to the first boss and died. Now, im back at the beginning. Do i really need to keep retracing my steps everytime i die. It took me like 5 deaths just to get to the boss and theres no way this game makes you replay the level everytime you die by the boss. Am i missing a lantern or something?

Insight really is like humanity as it also caps at 99 only you don't lose it if you die. Not much of a thing once you can basically farm them endlessly in the chalice dungeon.

Hahaha. Yeah I karate chopped that fool. Never played a souls game so this is all new for me. Don't really understand what to do :D.

OMG.

You need to go to Hunter's Dream (your hub area) and get weapons first. But bitchslapping that werewolf to death is something else, I'm impressed.

Does anyone know how to stun Amelia for a visceral attack? I did it once but don't know how.

No idea, whenever I do co-op runs people start shooting while we're attacking and she eventually goes down for one.

It's really easy to just stunlock her with two or more people though.

That is fine and all, but there is also something to be said for doing a blind playhrough. Efficiency is for the 2nd playthrough.

I had a friend that was trying to speed run the game by watching video of people doing it that way, but without having played the game before hand. Ine he game up because he never actually learned the basic mechanics and two he lost all the atmosphere and mystery of the world because speed runs skip over everything cool. People should play blind until they hit a wall and don't know how to proceed further in the game, IMO.

There is a shortcut you can open back to the lamp. Go through the house just after the 2 wolves on the bridge. Takes you back to the lantern.

Did they include NPC summons in this? I haven't seen any and I loved them in Dark Souls (though Demon's never had them)
Currently though I'm trying to do a Solo offline run, I love to do that first time through. Sometimes it's fun to summon the NPC though.

Got my Crow Hunter set:

That's a pain. There are shortcuts that you can unlock, you'll have to explore :)

By far the most I've seen people streaming a game before on LwP. Highest I've seen before was Unity at 900 something. People sure love streaming difficult games I guess.

I give up trying to
knock the gatling gun guy off the tower. I assume he is optional for now. I only killed Father G and Cleric Beast.

There's no lantern between the one you're at and the first boss, but there is a shortcut that allows you to get from lantern to boss in under 30 seconds with no fighting.

Keep exploring

Never, ever watch videos about best routes or stuff you should've missed till you clear a zone, at the very least.

camera spazzing out on that narrow bridge on first boss, not the best part of the Souls series is it :/ Carrying on...

Ok cool. I figured I was doing something wrong since I can't kill the second enemy at all. I will hopefully learn the ropes. A weapon sounds useful lol.

I'm trying to level, and both Skill and Endurance raise my physical defense. Endurance also raises Stamina and Poison RES. What else is there to Skill that isn't showing here? Am I supposed to be able to swing my weapon faster? I just wish I saw in numbers what it does.

I'm using the saw cleaver by the way and just beat the cleric beast.

Someone pleas come to the lamp before the sp
ider boss
and help me kill it :( sitting here ten minutes no one comes

I have no problem being summoned, but I cannot for the life of me invade someone. I've been wandering around for 30 minutes now, waiting for something to happen.

Thread is moving so fast lol

OK poll for fans of Souls:

Flasks or Blood vials?
Different mechanics for different games, I like both. I did play Demon's though, so I'm more used to only consumable healing than some.
Which game has better RPG elements (I notice BB is more streamlined)?
It's too early for me to say, I haven't even unlocked Runes yet.
Anyone miss magic?
Not really. It was always a crutch for me, so not being able to use it is a lot of fun.
PvP more enjoyable in BB or DeS/DaS?
Haven't PvP'd yet. The fights against NPC hunters are awesome.
Miss weapons in Souls games, or do you like transformation weapons?
Transformation weapons are amazing.

I had one PvP fight, it was fun, but healing is so very quick that you need to be in their face constantly.
So far this is probably my favorite Souls game.
