I know the game has technical issues, but Bloodborne is so stunning to look at.
The detail in the environment is amazing, and it's awesome to be able look out over the whole city of Yharnam. Seems like the entire city is constantly rendered.

It took me a while to warm up to it cos of the changes is and the long load times but now I've put in 20 hours I've gotta say I'm fucking loving this game. Have no idea how far through I am or whether the game stands up as good on a second playthrough but first playthrough wise so far it to me feels as good as dark souls 1 was.

It's a perfect (not) sequel; good and meaningful changes whilst keeping all the stuff you loved from the previous games.

Only complaint so far is a lack of memorable npcs but I haven't been backtracking to do side quests much so not sure if I've missed many

I just fought the Gatling Gun Hunter on the clock tower roof of Old Yharnam for like the 5th time and finally beat him.

Here's a video of the fight if you'd like to watch how badly I suck at this game: https://youtu.be/tp0rI8KS_DI

Is that your weapon causing damage over time or the poison knives? I'm assuming it's the poison ones. Btw, I thought he was one of the hardest enemies in the game, I think I have 2 bosses left to kill to beat the game though.

Oi gaf need help because ocd won't let me move on. Theres an item on a balcony right near the spot where you get
the numbing mist
how in the hell do I get to that balcony?

Anyone? :(

Killed the crow hunter NPC in order to acquire the badge. Once you do that, her gear and weapons are for sale in the shop. Good fight as well!

I wanted to complete her quest and leave her alive but I may just kill her and be done with it. I want her twin blades.

Another question guys!

After killing the gatling gun guy I'm inside a huge cathedral with lots of robed beast screaming near an altar.

If you go through the shortcut near the place were you fought the gatling hunter you'll get to the top of this huge room and you can walk over the roof beams. But there is one treasure I can't reach.

I've tried rolling out of the beam to the platform, I tried jumping but I always fall on the platform below.

How can I get that treasure?

So I just passed the very beginning area with the bridge and he firey ball that engulfs like five guys.

I need to quit for the day. What do I do?

God...Damnit.

Got the Cleric Beast down to a sliver of health without getting hit once, then got hung up on a lamppost and combo'ed to death instantly.

This game.

This fucking game.

I know your pains. I was stuck all day. Here's what I did:

Just close the app.

I've been on the second boss and am really wondering what the fuck is with the parry in this game.
First form of the father, he does a jumping lunge, you can shoot and do massive damage. Makes sense, feels good. You can do the same when he rolls at you. But when he makes the axe longer and does a lunge...he now absorbs the shots, doesn't give a shit, you get hit since you're now vulnerable and he combo hits you until you die. Like so.

I've been using the gun stun a lot up to this point and have died a few times to that same move with different timings and he just seems to push through either way. The feedback loop on this part makes no sense.

I agree. I was able to block every move until the axe transforms and then I could only parry about half of his moves even though I'd be sure to to initiate on the downward swings. Not sure if a big or it was intended.

If you kill her instead of helping her, you miss out on an item that
gives you a permanent stamina regen boost, as well as a unique emote.

I know, but you get her stuff! I'll do her quest in NG+ or on a new character.

For now though...

fuck, just realized that the first npc you hear from the house is still the same "first npc" of other souls games. they more or less help you and then just die as you progress. :(

She's a reallly really tough fight. Lightning fast and strong. If you don't want to go through the trouble, you can start her quest, and let her die, then loot her.

I really love the Kirkhammer. Fits my playstyle so well. It's damage output in sword mode is almost the same as my Saw Cleaver+2 and it's not even upgraded yet. Hammer is also dramatically more effective than the saw.

Who here has the finest message? My "the sky and cosmos are one" right at the start of the game has about 40. I was checking what messages were possible and stuck that gem down as soon as I saw it.

Also is there a benefit to having your message rated?

Actually what item gives you permanent stamina regen boost? And where does she go
after she fights a hunter in the Chapel Ward?

So I've downed five bosses (Eight if you count the first Chalice Dungeon) and four (Or seven) of them died my first try. Father G took me about 12 tries. I'm kinda surprised the bosses so far are giving me so little trouble because I turtled the shit out of every Souls game.

I dunno, guys. I've beaten Demon's Souls, Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2. Got platinum on Demon's and Dark - and yet this game is just destroying me so hard that I'm not enjoying myself anymore. I really want to, but fighting this boss over and over is killing me. I've spent my entire day here and I've even broken my own rules and watched a video... and in the video the boss isn't even doing what it's doing on my end. On my end, he's doing like crazy 7+ hit flurries and shit.

Only done two so far. Cleric beast took me 4 tries. Father G took about 15 :lol

So can someone explain the start of the game up until the first boss fight? I'm supposed to die there so I have the ability to level up? But when I die at the boss, will I lose all my blood echoes? I currently have 2777.
