I am very new to the souls games, what should I be focusing points into? I've been using and loving the axe and have it leveled a bit. So far I've just really put points into health and stamina because I know what those are. Vitality, Endurance, Strength, and Skill are all at 14, Bloodtinge and Arcane at 7.

Check the weapon stats. At the bottom of it are Letter Grades on the attribute it uses for scaling power i.e. the Hunter Axe scales with STR.

END and VIT are safe stats to put point in no matter what. Just beware of the Hard Cap limit (level where it's not worth putting in more points because it scales badly)

Level your weapon primarily. Only level stats like Str and Skill to the minimum needed to hold your gear or no more than 20. Via and End, should be the focus.

Going to do one more farming run and try fighting the boss without using items like someone smart suggested, though I almost killed him on my first try but I started off with only 16 vials, he was around 20%, who knows.

It's getting late and I refuse to play this game in the dark, this shit is scary. I need some nice PG 13 Destiny if I'm going to be gaming late at night. I don't know, it is something with this atmosphere. Maybe once I feel as if my character is developed and can handle his own my heart will stop pacing as fast, but feeling so squishy and weak in this unfamiliar world is going to give me a heart attack.

Im not taking about Rom for #1. Im talking about the Giant ass mother fucker In the Nightmare place.

The one that looks like all of the previously invisible creatures on the buildings?

Most damage is mitigated on his exterior, I ended up L2 with greatsword to stun and always stood b/w his back legs hitting his underside.

If you get the shortcut going to the second boss, if you just kill everyone on the path there you can get up to 8 without dying or using anymore. Then just die and repeat or go back to the Dream world.

Yup, the beginning area is actually incredibly good for stocking up on vials. I did 2 runs clearing everything(Sewers, main streets, leading up to father G) and ended up with 36 vials and around 40 bullets

Are BB's online aspects restricted to PS+ members?

This game is more like the souls series than I expected though. I thought it would be easier but that misconception was quickly pulvarized. I think I am even dying more due to the fact this game demands a more risky guards down approach.

Also the art direction is outta this world. And by that I mean it's so above and beyond the average level it might as well be crafted by the japanese.
I do hope From finds a way to make DS3 feel less linear though.

I really want to kill
That slimey red coat being on the church, but that old lady is being a dick. I have a feeling he will kill her. What do I do??

The great sword is very OP for me right now. Got it to 350 attack (with scaling). Everything dies in two hits. Quality build delivering the goods.

Yea the one that looks like all the giant Spider Cthulu beings that hang on the buildings.

Oh snap, has anyone bought
Gascoigne's
gear from the Insight Merchant?

I got 12 Insight...wondering if I should get em. Costs 6 total. Hmm

Ah, I see. So once that attribute requirment is met I shouldn't worry (14 for strength and skill is more than enough) until I decide to use a different weapon with possibly higher requirements.

PS+ is required for coop and Invasions.

I agree about art design. World class.

I am sure From learned their lesson on DS2 level design. The dlc was a vast improvement, they got the message.

Is there a equivalent to the shiny/smooth birds in the game? :p

I bought the set. It's okay. I prefer the Hunter's set design much more.

By the way, you only could buy one Small Resonant Bell. It has unlimited uses.

Yea the one that looks like all the giant Spider Cthulu beings that hang on the buildings.

I was able to bring him down to about 1/2 health in the first 15 seconds by quickly stunning him and walloping on his head. I just stayed underneath the rest of the time and dodged towards his tail when he began an attack animation

What's the soft cap for stats? 25?

Beat the 5th boss and am just farming echoes in the
forbidden woods
. I think the best way to get echoes is to just do co-op. I just lost 60k souls due to a stupid mistake.

Well it depends. For example I'm using Greatsword that scales with STR. So right now my END VIT and STR and pretty even. The added stat to my STR gives bonus damage to my Greatsword because it scales with it.
