Bring 10 antidote with you and make sure you dodge his 1 hit KO grab. Try to only swing twice before pulling back.

For me,
hanging back on his third form was a death sentence. Once he gets the advantage, having you constantly heal and antidote you will be dead soon enough and lowered on provisions. Try to parry his attack and heal with blood by goin in hard. Avoid that grab too.

wow that is still a very hard thing to do.

Wanna team up.?

I'm sorry, i'm not a cheater xD

Something sort of mind-blowing (at least very cool in my opinion) was found and posted over on reddit. Very spoilery.

http://www.reddit.com/r/bloodborne/comments/30ckz4/i_found_something_crazy_spoilers/

A certain item GAF was salivating over
is there (the shadowstep thingy)
.

Just went up here and woah, this is wild. I'm not far enough in yet to figure out what's going on, this raises some really interesting questions.

Questions about some unique usable items:
Can I use
the One Third of Umbilical Cord, Gold Pendant, and Tear Stone with no repercussions for quests?

Decided to check my notes..I worded/placed one wrong and it went from being helpful to being a troll. Put "Take a step forward" before an elevator with a hidden path halfway up..but I think people took it as step down the hole when it's gone up >.>.Loooots of negative votes.

There is a nice shortcut to BSB in case anyone isn't aware of. From Old Yharnam lamp, go through the door and instead of going towards the bridge, go to the other direction, drop down from the rooftop and you'll be much closer towards it.

Spent several hours just helping people out in the first area. Great fun, though I've leveled to the point where I can't help anymore.

There's so much stuff you can miss or ruin your play through. Amazing stuff this game is.

Ever since getting bsb to 2% on third attempt I've gotten progressively worse. I had a few others at around 5% and then I just die. I was having such an easy time up to this point too. Not giving up, of course, just can't explain why I can't beat this guy. Only S&O gave me this much trouble.

You have to open the gate though from the other side :S

How I killed Cleric Beast

Two words for ya,

Molotov Cocktails... lol. This was probably around my 22nd attempt, it took me way too long to figure out you simply cannot beat this guy unless you are fully stocked up on bullets, mollies and pots.

If you've got oil, use that combined with a mollie for ludicrous dmg, sadly I used it all in an earlier fight with him.

That sounds like alot. I killed him on the second try with only 4 molotovs and those I used to finish him off in case I would waste them and die, Did some leveling in between from 4 to 9 i think, That helped, I also used the saw spear. It's so lovely!

Sidejumping and distancing yourself worked wonders. Never got the pistol staggering to work, managed to do it once but never again :S

EDIT: I see you finished with way more potions left :D

How many times did you try? At this point i think im going to do the same. I tried at least 10 times yesterday without luck. During the last phase hes simply too quick or i am getting to old for this shit.
Must have tried at least a dozen times. I oiled him during the transformation and then just back dashed and threw molotov until he died lol

Woo I found my first "extremely rare" Caryll Rune yesterday just before going to bed. It enables me to have 4 more QS bullets on me.
I also found another Messenger skin, the U
rn
F
estival
:D

It was quite well hidden and I saw it purely by chance. If you want to know where to find those two items, here's how:

After beating bosses 3 and 4, the door at the Cathedral Ward is now open and you have an elevator leading to the Healing Church Workshop.
Once you're on that elevator, hug the wall behind you and there's a window (careful as the elevator is really fast)

As of now I have two options, go through H
emwick
or F
orbidden
W
oods
. I'll first explore the former because I already got some shortcuts in there.
That said I LOVED what happened when you open the door leading to the latter (with the password);
the man asks you the password, you open the door, see him and talk..."Already Dead".
SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIT.

Gonna post this for a new page. hope nobody minds.

i'm at the 3rd boss, and i'm stuck and would like some help.
Anyone out the willing to lend a hand to a fellow gaffer. ?
Of course i can help you, care to teach me how to do this?
of course.

do you have the small resonant bell. ?

if you do, got to settings and set the region search to worldwide, and quote to reveal the password

Where do you get the password from?

So far I'm not having fun: don't have enough time to play these days so I think I'll quit. Need to invest a lot of time on Bloodborne and there are other games I was playing before so... I guess I'll focus on them before even thinking of coming back to whatever this city's called.

So despite having 25 Skill and my +4 cane having a B scaling with Skill, its attack is still only 107. It's amazing against most regular enemies since you can kill them without them even getting close to you, but it's so underwhelming against bosses. Are there any other weapons worth trying out that scale just was well with Skill?

Lol would you be willing to help me. ?

that goes for another gaffer too, i need all the help i can get.
Shit, I'm about to go to bed. I actually stayed up an extra hour just to beat that asshole lol. It's doable solo, I must have tried like 10-15 times. If you have fire paper, use it. It will definitely save you a couple of risky hits. If you get hit by a poison attack, run behind a pillar and heal yourself. Just keep trying. If you can make past the first two, you can get through the third!

Thanks to those that warned about NG+ starting abruptly. Just hit the final boss so now I'm going to take some time to level my weapons and chalices and find some secrets.

I feel bad, I accidentally down voted a good comment. It said there was a hidden path but I couldn't see one anywhere, it wasn't until later that I pulled a lever that revealed it.

Sorry bro :(

Guys what is your opinion on the gun mechanics?

While at the earlier levels of the game, it seemed easy to perform a stagger, in later parts it seems as if it is extremely hard to time this... are there any other guns that could make my life easier?

Also what exactly does the "emergency gun loading" do? I see the bullets in red, do they have additional effects or something?

So I've pretty much done everything but there's a couple things I haven't figured out.

Does anyone know what to do at the
spider corpse thing after killing Ebrietas? I can only select "do nothing".

Guys. I haven't got to the 3rd boss yet and there is
some guy trimming me down with a machine gun
. Any tips?
Keep behind cover and stay the fuck away from explosive barrels. When you get up there with him, just knock him off the platform.

I only have a beckoning bell, where can i have that?

latest ENB video showed of what can happen if you chose certain options for a npc latter in the video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrdwpKzNge0
It's really fucking sad and dark too what happens to her :,(.
That really hit me hard since you can find
her ribbon too
.
This game is already too much, doing much more than most npc's did for me in the past souls game.

If you have ten insight, then go to the hunter's dream then just out side the house you should see a small fountain, that's where you buy it from. (you need the ten insight to have the shop open.)

Could you explain the "abruptly " part better without spoiling much? If you beat final boss = then I presume? Not able to roam in the world and comnplete what other you missed?

High Risk = High Reward. It will take a lot of time to master. Basically having an ifea on how everything attacks. I found the Cannon, but not enough stat to use it yet So i cant say if it will stagger enemies easier.

I take back all my complaints about the Cane earlier.

It's really working for me now. Pumped points into skill, worked out the moveset's strengths, upgraded it a few times. It is godlike. I think I might still need a big, heavy weapon later just for bosses where I won't be able to last when wittling, but the can is totally built for bloodborne in the way that the whips just didn't quite work for souls.

I think the thing that hasn't been mentioned enough about the game in reference to combat aggression is that you can rely on stunlock for most enemies, and the ones you don't stun lock easily are there to be parried. Trust in your ability to keep them at bay by attacking them, work on your parry, and the game is nectar.

Yeah so apparently once you defeat the final boss, you go into NG+ with whatever you have. That means you cant upgrade any of your weapons until you get to the endgame of new game + if you didn't do it previously.

Yeah Im having kind of a difficult time with the guns, but I always sucked at parries.
Also, I tend to try a stagger and end up panicking and evading after shotting, missing the stagger animation lol

The emergency gun loading is getting extra bullet at a cost of some of your health, press up with your d-pad to do it.

Yeah, like DS1. That sucks, DS2 did it better. You could choose to move to NG+ or keep going. Should've been like that, especially now with the Chalice dungeons.

So I have a gem I can socket into my axe that says "health continues to recover +1" or something similar. Any idea exactly what that means?

Couple of questions. What on earth is a '
frenzy
'? Also. The Madmans Knowledge. Gains you insight. What exactly does insight do?
I know you it gets used up of you call someone into your game to help. I'm not sure if it does anything else. IIRC in DS having more humanity made items drop more frequently, maybe insight has the same effect.

I'm 3-0 in pvp now.

the speed of healing makes some of these fights take forever. had to kill that last guy like 10 times over.

I upgraded repeating pistol to +6. with bone marrow ash consumed, it can kill people in a few shots if they land.

anyone know where I can farm bone marrow ash :p

I think it was a skill to get health while standing still and pressing X? I remember reading something like that here.

I feel like about a third of the time when I get the stun and go in for the attack I do a normal swipe instead the parry animation. Do you need to have precise positioning?

I was so eager to pick this up day one, and sure enough ended up getting murdered over, and over, and over...and over.....and over...
and over
. And over again.

Consistently not being able to advance far enough to access the first shortcut. I've played a tiny bit of Dark Souls* but wasn't ready for that and the amount of times I'd throw my controller in frustration. I fared better this morning and got into a groove, defeating the first two bosses in more or less pain-free battles, the
Cleric Beast managed to decimate me a few times but I lucked out on positioning and pulled out a win while I managed to get my hits in on Father Gascoigne's first form using the tree as a buffer

Had such a hearty laugh during my first time using the
Kirkhammer
. Such a great idea for taking a weapon to the next level.

*On PC. Good lord the keyboard and mouse controllers are woeful. It doesn't properly map to my PS4 controller either and spins around constantly.
