Trying to find my way after boss #3:

So I've gone back to the cathedral, and gone through the door to the right. Gone up the elevator, cleared the whole tower that's across the bridge. I can't find any path past this. Am I supposed to go to the right and down after crossing the bridge? The door at the top of the tower is locked.

I think I'm dreaming, finally after at least 10 or more times I beat the clerek beast!
I can't believe I kept on retrying time after time but I looks like it was worth it.

Here's what I know, i'm curious to know the rest as well.

so I haven't really been using my drops, could someone quickly explain what each of the following do?, and how I should use them?

- Ritual Blood

- Silencing Blank - Banishes other players from your world.

- Red Jeweled Brooch

- Madman's Knowledge - This gives you +1 insight on use.

- Shining Coins

- Bold Hunter's Mask - Warps you back to Hunter's dream with your blood-echoes.

- Pthumeru Chalice

Actually killed the Cleric Beast on my second attempt,no molotovos or anything since I was out...just rolled like a madman, stopped to attack after his combos, managed to stunned him a few times with the Blunderbass...felt good finally lol...

Oh and you dont have to go through the werewolves on the little bridge if you have the left shorcut open from the first lantern...in the little barely lit room after the left gate, where you have one of the guys on a weelchair, theres some steps to the second floor that I never saw before,up those then up on the left you are outside past the werewolves...

Now the other Boss in that area, with the cutscene before the fight kicked my ass in like 20 seconds...is that Father G...?

Just found something really interesting under the Healing Church Workshop.
The hidden door that you have to jump to on the drop down to the bottom has some crazy stuff in it that I'm sure has major lore implications.
But even though I now have this knowledge I really don't even know what to do with it.
Whoa,
i didn't catch that door when I went down there last time
. At least now I know what to do when I get off work

Got to my third boss last night. I made it around the
gattling gun
guy without killing him. Hopefully there is some sort of reward for that. If not, I will gladly go back and murder him and his entire family!

I am starting to realize that my weapon doesnt do enough dmg at this point. I havent found anything else though. The loot seems to be few and far between. Either that or I havent been looking hard enough. Although, I tend to explore every nook and cranny when I get to a new area.. so who knows.

I nearly beat the 3rd boss, but ended up dying and havent gotten closer since.

I thought you needed 10 to buy the bell to call for help. If not where do I buy it? Isn't it from the same person?
Nope you will get the bell once you gain 1 insight. Beckoning bell is near the doll on the steps once you have that first insight. The small bell you get from a vendor that you can only access with 10 or more insight and it costs 1 insight.

Just a tip. Once you no longer have 10 insight you will not be able to access the vendor again until you do. Its not a one time unlock. So if there's stuff you see in there of interest your first time, such as attire, pick it up before you exit.

Not sure if this has been posted already or not, but you can create The Joker as a playable character. XD

Got Ludwig's Holy Blade up to +6 with two gems: Phys ATK + 7.3%, + "Phys. UP at full HP + 2.7%" (I assume this is phys damage??) and the other is Phys ATK + 5.3%.

So I just joined a co-op game in Hemwick Charnel Lane, and we were invaded right before going to fight the boss. I guess non-voluntary PvP is still in!

I find the kirkhammer pretty good for damage and fast too in short mode. I think I have like 17 strength , 17 endurance, and +3 upgrade.

You made the jump to that door?

I tried it once and didn't make it anywhere near it, so I didn't think you could make it..

Tried it from a few different places and found one that worked.
As if you are looking directly at the door the place you jump from is to your right. You can use the full platform to get a running head start, but don't aim too much at the wall or you will be caught up on some other broken boards that will stop you. It is worth the trip.

Man FUCK
Rom the vacaous little bitch ass spider

Cheap ass motherfucker - "hey, let me hit you with these virtually unavoidable projectiles"

after third boss spoilers:

so apparently i was
kidnapped

this area is nuts, hulking
dudes with the potato sacks
are so hard

found a lamppost thank god, seems like its attached to an entirely different set of them

Will this game have the legs of Dark Souls? I keep hearing that there isnt as much loot, weapons, and customization.
It has much deeper customization. There's less weapons but each weapon is the same as 2 completely different weapons since they transform, and no weapon shares another moveset. Plus you can customize their stats and also add passive effects to your hunter.

Plus we have a randomized dungeon now with tons of replay.

Not 100% sure. Lack of weapons and armour choices is part of why I love the Souls series. Also, it depends how much there is for the Chalice Dungeons, since that could be a major part for many hard-core players.

So what's the deal with Insight? I've heard rumors that it affects different things like difficulty and enemy abilitities and/or appearances. Maybe even world and NPC events, similar to Demons World Tendency.

What's the highest Insight anyone's seen? I'm at 60 now, farming boss fights. A lot of weird stuff has been happening but might be just due to standard game progression. I think I'm fairly late game, just
killed Spider and reached Unseen territory.

Oh great.
I get off the table at the beginning, encounter a wolf thing, die, and now I'm in some garden.
This game is already starting off crazy.

Man I had no idea that of all the four left hand weapons I have, axe is the only one that won't let me use guns when transformed. I thought all weapons had that limitation.

I keep noticing something that's driving me crazy. If you're doing the shortcut run to Amelia's room from the Cathedral Ward lantern, you pass by it and it's on your right up on a balcony. I can't figure out how to get to it. Has anyone gotten it?

Edit: Also, there's fire paper somewhere in the area right? Aside from the fire paper you get from Alfred? I could have sworn I picked some up on a different character, but if I did I haven't been able to find it again.

how do you use keys? I have plenty but when I try to open every locked door i can't. Where can I use the one I bought from the messengers? Ludwig's workshop, is it not?

Yea, found that yesterday too...it's effing weird!
I think it's sidequest stuff because I believe the next mainline boss is around the cathedral ward area.

Yeah it can be a pain. I've been using it liberally though since I'm disabled. I've got X and O as R1 and L1, Square as R3, Triangle as O, R1 as L2, D-Up as Square, R3 as X. Navigating menus can be tricky to say the least!
That's what I freaking love about this firmware is how much it helps disabled gamers and gives them a chance to make the controls more friendly. The option for button mapping will be a standard on consoles moving forward.

Nope, I just assumed I would come around from the balcony side eventually

I even tried sprinting off that adjacent tower to land on the ledge but no dice

so I haven't really been using my drops, could someone quickly explain what each of the following do?, and how I should use them?

- Ritual Blood - A material needed to make certain Chalice dungeons.

- Silencing Blank - Banishes other players from your world.

- Red Jeweled Brooch - Can return to a girl who was looking for her mom and dad. She is in one of the houses in the area before Father G that has a red lantern hanging on it. Or you can just use it to get a gem.

- Madman's Knowledge - This gives you +1 insight on use.

- Shining Coins

- Bold Hunter's Mask - Warps you back to Hunter's dream with your blood-echoes.

- Pthumeru Chalice - You need this, along with other materials to make a Chalice dungeon. Go to the Hunters Dream and check out one of the chalice tombstones to make your dungeon.

Here's what I know, i'm curious to know the rest as well.

I added in the rest, that Hoo-doo didn't answer.

I have, and it's
Thick Coldblood (6)
.
You can't get it right now, you have to beat some bosses, then if
you explore back at the lamp post in the Ward
, you may find something that'll eventually lead you to it ;)

Quick question has anyone figured out how Insight works? Beyond coop?

Also if you start getting the consumeable for it pretty often in a later area?
