Why do people play this Co-op ?

I understand this game is very hard but that's one if the rare games that gets difficulty right.

If you play this coop and sail through every boss in minutes then you're BUTCHERING the game.

My friend had a ton of trouble on the 2nd boss, ended up running out of vials altogether and had to farm some more (his first souls game). We ended up doing it coop and that fight is completely broken with 2 people, killed him in under 2 minutes.
You can essentially have one person on music box duty and keep him perpetually stunned haha.

Oddly enough I was lvl 24 at the time he was 16. The game downleveled me when I was summoned, I noticed I was doing less damage to mobs outside of the boss and my health bar was less than my stamina bar. I'm not even sure I got anything for kill the 2nd boss again besides one insight haha

Lol these hunter fights are getting more ridiculous.
Anyone have tips for the gank squad hunters in unseen village? I tried luring 1 but I hit him with a pebble and they all aggro'd.

I had them follow me all the way back to the church? lantern by the
laser
stairs. That took care of them pretty quick

I get off on death

So good. That is the set I am going after next.

Well, I must of died 100 times now, can't seem to get that first boss down. I am struggling to get the hang of dodging at the right time. That all said even though I have played through the same parts 100 time I am having fun with the game.

That boss on top of
the castle is fucking a pain in the ass.
I must have tried about 20 times and finally had to summon someone to help. I'm level 60 at the time btw. When we did it co-op we barely survived it.

I don't get it. What did he do exactly and what is that music box?

He didn't do anything really.
Father G
just jumped through a clipping plane into oblivion and died. The music box you can
get from an NPC in central yarnham and can help during the boss fight.

So I was able to beat the Blood Starved Beast pretty easy. Heading to get the Radiant Sword Hunter Badge with my 15k echos I encountered something strange:
A dude with a burlap sack who one shot me, and kidnapped me? What the fuck?

Just started today. I've got into that 'Rush-die' loop where I'm trying to get to father Abraham (or whoever) and because I'm rushing I keep dying stupidly on relatively simple enemies. And at that point the load times really hurt.

Can someone give me a tiny bit of guidance, as there are shortcuts all over and I don't know if I'm supposed to be going this way. Should I do the
hairy boss on the bridge with one big arm
first, or father Abraham? Both seem doable but also frustrating. Because you don't have a shield there is a lot more dodging and wheeling and it does feel confusing wih the camera all over the place. I was never a nimble player, but wasn't a tank either - I just liked my shield. So this is taking some getting used to.

Generally is the alternative form of your weapon for longer range/group attacks, but it deal less damage per hit?

I need to spend a lot more time trying to understand what the firearm is for. It barely seems to stagger enemies at all, I feel like I'm better off sticking with the right hand attacks entirely.

Well, there's a cool spoiler that makes it apparent what the difference is:
you can see Iosefka's hand through a crack in the door's window, and it's empty at first. But when she asks for you to send refugees, you can see a weapon in her hand. Plus the shaky laugh, ha. On the other hand, the weird hag at the Chapel seems genuinely protective of the people you're directing to her.

Oooohhh man, I'm so glad I read this before
killing the Chapel Hag
.

As far as spoilers like this go I think there's a fun aspect to talking with the community about which NPCs are trustworthy or not.

But man,
the little girl... :(

From what I gather, she dies if you send her to the Chapel, and the Clinic isn't safe. There's no way to help her, is there...

You're right, that one isn't the normal 4th one. It's optional AFAIK. But the best strat seems to be to aim for the legs to knock it down then go ham. I haven't done it yet and I've killed 6 bosses
Ok thanks, will keep trying few more times as I have no souls to lose(anymore ;__;) and he's not far from the checkpoint.

Well, level 42 isn't too high to be summoned for Amelia. Ludwig's Holy Blade +6 putting in work. It will be hard to top this weapon, I can see myself using it for the rest of the game

Don't limit yourself. LHB is fine but it's like a Dark Souls weapon and this is Bloodborne.

YO ! Is there any way to compare weapons / armors in the shop to the one currently equipped other than moving away from the stop and looking into my inventory and try to remember all of the stats of the item in the store ?

ahah yeah, they're also the only games where i have to take like a 20 minutes break after a 1 hour session lol

TESNSE AS FUCK
Exactly. I can't chill and play. I need to dedicate way too much of my time and play this properly. I'll play tomorrow after I'm less jetlagged.

Anyone defeat the seventh boss yet?
The spider one.
Really kicking my ass with those meteors, if it weren't for them it'd be grand.

This is the one I'm currently on. I've only tried him once, though.
Rolling backwards away from the meteors seemed to work for me.
I went into the fight with a low amount of vials, though.

I like LHB, too, but I still find myself switching back to the axe occasionally.

Summon a player to help you in front of the fog gate.
First boss is super hard to solo. I thought second boss was easier.

The inability to view bloodstains is really a bummer.

weirdly it was working for me for two hours last night.

"I must go now, my home planet needs me"

that upper area does seem like a way better spot to fight him in. Didn't know you could go up there at the time.

LOL

Upper area was great for me. I just kept doing loops up the stairs and over the rooftop. He would chase after me, but by keeping a distance, he would always do the jump attack. When he does that, you can just roll under him and get some shots in on his back. Run/repeat.

Just unlocked the shortcut to the first lantern. I know I got to get to a bridge to find the first boss but no clue how to get there. Ive defeated the two giant ogres, but it looks like that elevator isn't operational. If I go up the stairs and into that path it leads me to what I think are the sewers. Totally lost. Any help? Thanks.

Go through a house, upstairs to where there are two werewolves one direction and a brick guy with 3 crows the other direction. Go past the brick guy and crows

Edit for more detail: From the lamp post, go left through the gate and down the stairs. The house is there before the two brick guys.

That boss merits a co-op partner.

I am not talking about a boss. I beat the Shadow fight on my second try. These are just the overpowered hunter type enemies that you normally fight solo. Here, you fight three at once, or just run through the level until you finally lose them. I don't see how this can be beaten without exploits of some kind, or going back when you're a much higher level.

I just tried out remote play on the Vita. I really wish they let you swap positions for R2/L2 and R3/L3. I intuitively want to use my middle fingers to control R2/L2, so I keep pressing the back touchpad, but that's for R3/L3. It'd make more sense to have lock-on (R3) on the bottom-right corner of the screen instead of the R2 attack. I suppose its possible to change it with the new PS4 firmware update to remap buttons, but its just one game and only when playing it on the Vita.

MAN that moment when you unlock the shortcut from the
forbidden woods
. That's some elevator shit from Dark Souls for sure.

So, is there no way to compare ?
Clunky as fuck...
