So I rang my small resonant bell in front of the Cleric Beast about 10 minutes ago.

I can see the swirly effect at my feet and that's it. Am I doing something wrong or are these launch problems?

It's pretty much impossible to have the bell for helping others for that boss. You need to play quite far by it (past 2nd boss), and then would have to backtrack just to help people.

he cant Clip through them so the terrain should give you some breather room to setup a counter

Well you can but the timing window is fairly small. For someone learning or struggling with the mechanics it's the plan B

I'm sure it is once used to the mechanics but I abandoned my WoS character after 3 hours because I blew through all the early game item drops while still learning the controls and flow.

My second character is Violent Past but my third will be Waste of Skin again, I think.

Attempting Vicar as my 4th boss but she's fucking horrible. Decided to deviate and go for the Witch.

I'm level 30, maybe I need to level up a bit. Things are getting pretty tough with the cane as well. Wish I had another skill scaling weapon. Everything I've found favours strength.

Huh, I'm 24 at the same spot. I feel like she isn't that hard but I am doing zero damage and her damage output is fucking stupid.

I feel like I have an easy time with any enemy that isn't a gigantic mass of spastic turbo-speed flailing arm hitboxes. So far that is a perfect description of 1.5 of the 2 bosses I've fought, hoping this isn't a recurring trend and they change it up occasionally.

Today, quickly and easily killed Cleric Beast. Only time it gave me trouble was on a stunlock he gave me followed by a pound, I almost insta died. Maybe I was being unlucky yesterday!

, it sucks. I don't even know why it exists, when it is weaker than all starting weapons, apparently.
However, the kirkhammer is incredible. Only problem is that some enemies are REALLY resilient to crush damage. Also, I'm too used to the axe to change now; what an incredible starting weapon.

Sewers aren't as scary as they seemed at first. Very short too! Having a

I've already reached the bullet inventory limit; so easy, thankfully. I wish it were higher tho, not to have to farm for it, ever, like with the herbs in Demon's.

Got to Father G. Holy fuck, what a cool boss. It was being REALLY easy until he stunlocked me in a 4 hit string combo with his two handed version of the axe, and I died; brutal. I also thankfully have the

Only thing bothering me in this part is that, apparently, there's no lantern (or great shortcuts) near any of the bosses, so you have to traverse through all that long and dangerous path. It seems a bit pointless if you've explored the area already. It just makes dying doubly annoying, as it takes time and carefulness and you might lose the souls you gather on the way. I don't want to kill those two stone dudes and the

Isn't he the one they revealed as the main playable character way back when they originally showed the game? Was this game always designed around a character you create? Did they change it mid cycle, and then decide to make the previous main character a boss character?
