Bloodborne |OT2| Praise The Moon

Last night I had a dream that I got invaded by another more higher level player, as I was fighting mobs. I recall myself running for my life through Central Yarnham. Pretty intense!

Just found out that i didnt end the game, when the
Church is on fire after fighting the wetnurse, dont talk to Gehrman.
I just finished a new area C
ainhurst
and there is a lot of items/things that suggest secrets. My advice is always read item descriptions.

Got the fourth boss down,
Vicar Amelia
. Just wondering what level were people around here? I'm 24 which has been feeling low, and I'm now sitting on 32K souls. Wondering if I should just pump it all to levels now since I've been buying stuff a lot instead.

Cane is amazing. Upgrade it and your Skill skill. It absolutely destroys once you start putting gems in it.

If you find a certain badge, you can purchase all the starting weapons form the bath messengers in Hunter's Dream.

I've largely ignored upgrading Skill, I'll have to get on that. I'm only at +3, wanted to make sure before I poured more in, thanks!!

I know it may still be early to ask, but are there are full online guides to the game yet? I want to try to not miss key characters/bosses/items/shortcut, as I apparently have missed a few.
I missed the electrical boss after getting captured, after seeing a video of it.

Also, if someone can give me an idea on how far I am:
I'm back in Yharnam after defeating the spider boss, and the sky is purple with a red moon. I'm not near the end of the game yet, am I?

My only complaint right now is the fact that bloodstains don't activate 90% of the time

I love watching people die, wish they would work.

And holy shit is there a ton of bloodstains everywhere

Think what's happening is there's a cap on how many bloodstains you have, and since so many people are dying by the time you go to look at one it disappears to allow a newer one in.

Just killed the 3rd boss
Blood Starved Beast
(best name ever btw). Kinda at a loss where to go next? Any ideas chaps? All seems like a dead end

Yea it seems like there may be some kind of server issue with bloodstains not working a lot of the time and so many people having trouble summoning other players.

In having a great time so far though. I haven't had a ton of time to play yet, but I've explored most of the beginning area and should take on the first two bosses today if I find some time to play. Molotovs are definitely overpowered early on

So, does anyone have combat tips? I've tried using all 3 starting weapons, and I can't seem to get the "feel" of it because it's so different than souls. The risk/reward of the gun use is a lot of fun, but it usual ends with me getting pounded into the dust.

I've almost made it to the first boss, but I'm finding myself still "not getting it" despite being a Demon's Souls and Dark Souls vet and consulting several guides.

I was around low 30s when I beat her.

It was a dead end; that boss is optional, and starts opening up the Chalice Dungeons. You need to buy a key from the Dream to unlock a door in the Cathedral area, as that is where the next main boss is.

Got a question for everyone.

I have never played a Souls game. I don't do well with difficult games, like at all. I am very much interested in this one tho just for the style and setting alone... but I don't want to drop $60 (and renting isn't really an option) on something that I could potentionally hate.

So my ultimate question is: I have Demon's Souls free via PS Plus, would trying that be a good little "demo" of sorts on rather I'd enjoy Bloodborne or are the games ultimately just way too different from each other?

Can i carry unlimited amount of weapons and clothes ? Or is there a weight limit or something ?

No weight limit

in that cathedral of Yarhnam (where the creepy guy asking you to bring people there is located) theres a big door around there (where the big guy is patroling) that you need a badge to open it (you need to buy the badge at the Hunter's Dream merchant for 10k).

I've been using Saw Cleaver +4 or so, should I continue to upgrade it? Working out nicely for me. But I see according to wikis that it doesn't really scale well, even when +10. I've only beaten 2nd boss, so still very early in game.

Basically, should I save my upgrades (haven't even found those 2nd tier upgrades yet) for better weapons later on?

Do not waste your blood echoes on this, there is a way around.

Managed the witches on my own, I fucked up the first time not understanding what to do.

Unlocked runes, and upgraded my cane a bit again. Seems like the twin blades are a bit further on so the cane will have to suffice. I'm beginning to enjoy the gemstone mechanic more. It allows you to use what weapon you want but modify stats.

Now back to doing the Vicar.

Not sure when to attempt a chalice dungeon now I'm 4 bosses in.

some areas are really tough now

jesus I love this

IMO, they are similar enough in game play that if you absolutely hate DeS, you won't like BB.

Alrighty, I've entered the password for Neogaf Co-Op. It better be jolly co-operation! Anyone need help with any of the first 4 bosses?

Never played Demons but I would say BB is similar to Dark Souls, just with a faster gameplay and no shields to back up. So yea It may give you an idea.

Just nailed Gascoigne in about 90 seconds and didn't get hit once.

As soon as the fight starts immediately go right where there is a small tree surrounded by some gravestones. Lock on and transform weapon to its large form (I'm rocking the Axe) then just make sure he's always on the opposite side and do a charge attack to smash him. Rinse and repeat even when he's at his second stage. Although this time only do the charged attack after he's finished the animation for his.

When he transforms to the 3rd part keep behind the same spot, lock on and spam molotovs at him. He does break the gravestones but by the time he's done that you should only need one more hit. Took me 3 molotovs.

Yoshi, are you still playing?

is it living up to your hype yoshi?
Here's the deal with Bloodborne. I have no idea how, but just the atmosphere and combat alone is making this "living up to my hype". Even though there are a lot of other elements to the game, I just consider the previously named things as GOD tier. Really SSS-quality. We're talking next to perfection.
