I wonder how this would work.

Would those tracks be locked to off-road cars only? Or could you take any car in the game but off-road spec would have a huge advantage? Or would it be more like Forza Horizon where there isn't as huge a disparity in handling off-road sections as you'd expect across the different car classes?

Neither one of those seem particularly free from balancing hassles.

They could do a rally cross add on. Bigger than DLC, smaller than a full game.
A separate add on with seperate tracks and vehicles, and handling tuned to match the style.

Vehicles could inculde buggies, rally cars (Group B, swoon), and other specialist off roaders.

Yes, Zombie Army Trilogy supports 3D on PS4, so does Sniper Elite 3.

I really hope that rallying and offroad driving are kept out of DC.
There are enough other games out there that offer that kind of racing.
What I love about DC is that it offers competitive simcade racing with a huge variety of cars. We haven't seen that since PGR left town.
Imho there are enough rally games offering that. In DC there are more than enough other roads still left unexplored, such as the classic and open wheel category.

There are zerio rally and offroad games on PS4 though. And Evolution Studios are pretty much the king of both.

To me they actually were the exact opposite of unfun and they were bloody intense.

I'd love to get Motorstorm on nextgen, even if only through a DC season pass, but that's just a dream right now. We'll get them Motorstorm vehicles but no tracks, while it's a nice blast from the past, it's pretty much useless imho.
