This isn't an entirely comprehensive list, and it's gotten a few revisions since it was first posted, but for a quick glossover for the main story beats, this should help ya a bit. It only goes up to pre-halo 4 events. For Halo 4 and post Halo 4 stuff I'd recommend playing Halo 4 again and checking out the new novels and novellas that are to be released this year. 👍
Wait this says The Didact was opposed the halo rings, I thought he was pro halo rings?
Also, it says the didact dies but not before imprinting his memories to born stellar. Which Didact dies? I thought isodidact was alive and whereabouts unknown and urdidact was the one in halo 4.

Seeing a lot of mistakes in it though, maybe not the best place for the unfamilliar to start as they'll be mislead. The Flood came after the Forerunners hunted down the Precursors, from the powder some of the remaining Precursors turned into to preserve themselves until a safer time. Some think the powder waited too long and mutated into the flood, some think the Precursors intentionally mutated into the Flood.
The prophet-Elite aliance never used Precursor artifacts, those were based on Neural Physics and so were completely destroyed when the Halo rings fired.

The Flood was a result of purposeful (albeit quite deranged) reactionary genesis. Definitely intentional on the Precursors part.
But yeah, this list isn't pin point accurate. But I figured it was worth sharing for people who have only played the games and have no idea what's going on haha. Just a very limited and simple glance at the time line.

The UrDidact was anti-Halo. Master Builder was pro-Halo. The Librarian sided with MB because she planned to use the halos as a way to preserve life post-firing. UrDidact didn't want to give up on their reign over the Mantle, and he viewed the firing of Halos as the ultimate sin against their roles as Caretakers.

Sully is telling Girud it's for a "campaign" (I'm assuming a PR campaign) but I'm sure it'll turn into a smear job, if the info collected is even released to the public. All depends on what he finds I guess.
He is wrong, Spartan IVs are incapable of even wearing a Spartan IIs armor. They are nowhere near equivalent.
That's cool they're using people from FuD, had some good characters on there. More likeable then Nightfalls anyhoo.
So this is the article which was meant to be a quick and easy promo piece, but obviously turns into so much more for Giraud.

I wonder if it'll be a switch a roo..begins as a returning war hero story that turns into a smear campaign. After all the spartans are "at their core broken". (Not sure if exact quote from Halo 4 but close)

Makes sense Sully would end up working for ONI, especially (what I'm assuming is) Section Two. iirc, he was the one to hack the ONI channels and find the video of the Innies and Spartans first fighting the Covenant.
Yeah that part was awesome. He spent two episodes trying to hack into the feeds, and then finally he gets a good still of the Spartans head. And they're all freaking out over how massive he is. But then they quickly realise this guy is fighting alongside the insurrectionists, and the question becomes who are they teaming up to fight? Then boom, covenant attack. When they get it right, live action Halo is so good.

The Librarian did some stuff that, along with giving him immunity to the Composer, did some other stuff to speed up his evolution. But we have no idea what any of that means yet. I wouldn't grab the pitchfork quite yet.

I didn't even hear about this until I saw it while I watched The Walking Dead last week and I was super excited to see it!!
I first thought it was just a MCC commercial but then was like "Whoa" and had to rewind it a few times before checking out the tumblr etc.
I is excite!
Between this stuff and the Waypoint updates.. novels.. etc I'm on a Halo-high!
