Can you post your source? I can't find anything posted about antenna problems.

claviertekky posted the direct links, heres an article discussing it. While they focus on the Sprint frequencies, theres no technical reason why it would be any different on another provider.

As for analysis, both Galaxy S6 variants are about average -- with the Galaxy S6 Edge holding generally a 1 dB "edge," pun intended. Neither, though, holds up to the tested RF output of the One M9. Some surmise that Samsung's much debated shift in handset materials this year from largely cheap feeling plastic to more premium metal and glass has had a detrimental effect on RF design and performance. We cannot jump to that conclusion, but the RF falloff does become even more apparent in comparison to last year's Samsung Galaxy S5 -- again, see our article.

In particular, band 41 EIRP is disappointing. A higher frequency band should precipitate higher RF output. But that is not the case this year, as the band 41 uplink maximum for both Samsung handsets drops 4-7 dB below that of the One M9 and fully 6-9 dB below that of the Galaxy S5.

Also, the band 41 extreme frequency differential in the Galaxy S6 Edge is disconcerting. It is up to 8 dB better in high BRS spectrum than in low EBS spectrum. Meanwhile, multiple band 41 center frequencies in BRS/EBS spectrum will vary from market to market, so performance will also vary. If using the Galaxy S6 Edge on band 41, you better hope for EARFCN 40978 or greater.

Aww yeah. I'm buying off contract so I got a G ready. Walking into Bestbuy and buying the highest model I can get with it.

Chad Warden is that you?

UK, but what I really meant (in case anyone gets too excited) was that I've pre-ordered a bunch of them with our corporate provider so that we get them as soon as they land. Have agreed a hardware allowance of £550 for each of them. If the price is higher, they pay the difference. If it's lower, we get the difference back.

Surprised this thread isn't bumped after preorder date and all that.
Reserving mine at Best Buy at 10am once they open to be guaranteed one at launch. Free Qi wireless charger worth $60 included free. Thankfully it's $199 on contract as opposed to only being available on AT&Ts NEXT plan or whatever they have.

I was at the Best Buy Mobile store by me last night as the Samsung rep was setting up I got to play with both phones for a bit. The Edge is REALLY slim because of the curved screens. More slim in person. This is my first Android phone since being iPhone only since iPhone 1 launch, so I'm pretty excited.

Finally got the chance to use the S6 and S6 Edge.

Samsung finally made a phone with amazing build quality.

The Edge is much sharper on the hands than I expected. But it is a looker. The gold edge is ridiculously shiny on front and back. And as expected, fingerprint magnet due to the glass back.

I'll be getting the S6 Edge when the price goes down abit.

It's the best goddamn phone samsung made. Design and Build quality wise.

When people talk about build quality they mean it feels more solid due to being aluminum etc., right?
And not about the build quality/strength that actually tells you how much force a phone can take before it/it's case/screen breaks. (i.e the metal doesn't give an advantage over plastic and glass backs are obviously prone to damage)

Because for me the former is also just part of the design.

For me it's how solid the phone is on your hands. No squeaks or plastic feeling. (i hate plastic phones like my S2 and Note 2 back then) No fake shit like leather or chrome sides like in S3 / Note 3.

Changed contracts since my last post and have been promised two S6 Edge 64GBs on release day. Quite looking forward to getting them - reviews have been universally positive. Coming from Nexus 4 and iPhones before that, the lack of expansion or battery removal are irrelevant to me.

What's the msrp on the s6 edge? Gotta figure out how much money im gonna lose.

Not getting rid of my unlimited data on Verizon, so full price for me. :(

Just tried it at Bestbuy. S6 edge over S6, period. S6 edge looks and feels so fucking great. S6 doesn't look as good in comparison.

Everything about S6 edge is great except for the browser. It's still improved from other Samsung phones, but it is still laggy compare to other aspects of this phone. Other than that, this phone is fucking Ace. GJ Samsung.

This phone made my iPhone 5S seem 4 generations behind. Especially when I recorded the 4K video and saw what it looked like on the screen. Just fucking unbelievable. Apple needs to catch up bad, but I know they won't as long as their phones continue to sell well. It's unfortunate.

Welp. Samsung, here I come.

My BB got their demoes for the s6 & edge, got to try out the edge and I love it. Not in the market to purchase the phone, but it sure is the coolest phone I've played around with.

I hate the idea of any glare on the sides of my screen due to the reflective curved nature, but it seems like most people are saying Edge > regular, so it's making me reconsider. Decisions decisions. S6 or S6 Edge?

Having compared both today, Edge all the way. I was grinning like a Cheshire cat when playing with it. A weirdly emotional experience.

Go to your local store and try it out for yourself. S6 edge is fucking awesome.

I'm not sure I'll go with the edge now over the s6..

I had a try the other day and just not sure I'm not being tricked into liking the edge simply because its different... Is is it actually better..?

I mean for one, in hand, it feels sharper ...not as comfortable as the s6....that might get annoying...

But the edfge has by far the more attractive side profile..

And I tried texting etc, any fear I had re the curve in relation to the curve where unfounded, the curve is very subtle... Doesn't effect texting at all..

But I'm not sure re the screen due to the glare...I mean...yeh you get that cool infinity pool effect...but you also have bands of glare on the curve edge making the screen appear narrower.. If you know what I mean...

Hmm...really have to think more about it ...I'm definitely getting one of the two.

Here's a great review I found

Anyone think they'll do an s6 mini?

Probably, but like the S3, S4 and S5 mini's before it, it'll not have the same specs inside a smaller shell. The screen resolution will be less, as will the ram, camera, processor etc. It wouldn't surprise me if they use different build materials too. Though I'm less certain on that last point. It certainly won't be as good as it's big brother.

My buddy's girlfriend could use a phone this durable...she had been using a busted phone for like a year, finally got a new one and broke the screen within a week

used an s6 the other day when a samsung rep stopped in my store. it was great, fantastic camera. I'm just worried the screen is going to seem too small coming from a Note II.
