Streaming some attempts at Vicar Amelia, PLEASE help me out I have no idea what I'm doing with this fight

Advice is appreciated! FYI I am not using any items for these attempts until I figure out how to actually do some damage to her

Fire paper and hug that ass. Also, if you attack her weak leg enough she'll fall and you can do a visceral attack.

GAF... I found what would make this game perfect by modern standards.

LOL

Ugh god that really gives me anxiety... I hope we'll never get to this point.

Forbiden Woods
is a OCD nightmare

also, looked at my echoes...70k. this was my face basically

so I went ahead and used a bold hunter's mark lol

Died right before the boss with 100k on me. On the return path died to the snake villagers.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I beat him yesterday without vials. Because I had none lol.

He's actually very easy. Just stay behind him, dodge his backward slash and blood AoE. He seems to have problems with tracking once you're behind him, not nearly as viscious.

By no metric is that 360 attack "easy" to dodge. It's a OHK. I can dodge it maybe 70% of the time. But he does it all the time when I get behind him. The fight is like sooooo long... I do hardly any damage.

I'll get him eventually, but Idk about "easy".

Maybe you're too low. I think I was low 30 here or something (I forgot). That attack hit me once and it did about 60%?

(Not a spoiler, more of an environmental question but I'll tag nonetheless)

What affects time of day? Finally got out of dusk into delicious pre-release footage full moon night.

Just helped a couple people beat
Vicar Amelia
. The Summoning Bell mechanic is like 10 times better than soapstone summon signs. Just ring that bell, lean back and wait. No repeated sign activation and getting annoyed at "Failed to summon!".

Hey man, here's what I did:

I stopped trying to find strategy in it. I stopped trying to stay behind her.

I literally just one handed my axe with fire paper and went to town on her legs. If you have enough vials and endurance you should be able to stagger her endlessly. Play it safe and stay in front of her and dodge her shockwave and get in attacks whenever you can.

Go hard on her legs, she staggers easily. Just go to town.

This strategy totally worked haha thanks man!

Thanks everyone else who chimed in with advice and watched.

I bead the BSB last night. It took me about four tries, which sucked, because the third time I had him down to the last few hits, and I got poisoned and didn't notice, and when I did, I pressed the wrong button (I meant to heal, but instead, I took the antidote, and my last sliver of health disappeared before the antidote took effect).

It wasn't as hard of a battle as I thought it would be. I employed the standard stick and move tactics, baiting him into using attacks that I can easily dodge, then hitting him between 1-3 times before dodging back and starting again.

I noticed that dodging to the left (when facing him, so your left, his right), is a lot easier than dodging to the right. His swing usually goes over you when you roll left, and it leaves him open for a few hits as he recovers.

I initiated the rights to my first Chalice Dungeon, which I'm going to start exploring today. I love this game so much.

holy shit, I went to go kill some crows behind the cathedral for some quick echoes and they've been replaced with this dude with a sack who nearly killed me in one hit

Managed to figure out how to beat the boss and managed to deal the finish blow as a visceral attack. Boss kill of the year 2015.

Fuuuuuuuuck.

Wrecks enough that it's worth starting over?

I don't think so? I never did anything with her sidequest wise so I don't know what happens with her, but here is always NG+! I'm using my first playthrough as basically a blind playthrough without trying to find every little secret or sidequest. Saving that for my NG+ runs.

Ho Ho Ho!

That's the second time I tried to become friends with Djura but failed. Every single fucking time, I miss something that I should've read aboout before trying it out.

Oh well, there's always NG+++.

I can't remember where I found or if it was a lucky drop. Wanted to use it on Ludwig's Holy Blade but it won't let me. Not even on Kirkhammer. Only weapon I could use it on that I have on me was my pistol. Decided to just put it on it. The pistol alone takes more than half of the Central Yharnam enemies health away with a single shot.
What level is your bloodtinge at?

It reminds me of the opening to Dracula with the pass through the wilderness to a cliffside castle. But what were you thinking of when you made that comparison?
You probably haven't gotten there yet :)

Edit: actually maybe you have and you're just talking about the wrong place lol

this, NG+ is as important as the first playtrough

FUUUUUUUUUU

this hunter npc next to the
amelia boss fight
is pissing me off, I killed his lighting friend but this guy evade spams to hell and has a gun which shoots spreading bullets. Even his heavy alt weapon turns into a fucking rifle.
