So I beat Amelia and there's this path

to the right of the enemies with the frenzy poles and I found these two npc hunters one with an electric club and the other with a rifle, i beat them and there's more to the path, should i keep going down to face those big enemies with the giant axes or should i go to the old yharnam lamp and begin to explore that area now?

That is a side quest. It is fun. Do it if you want.

Sure, why not. I'd go left as well.

So my stats are:

Vit 27
End 30
Str 9
Skill 30
Bloodtinge 7
Arcane 8

Rocking Threaded Cane + 6. Any idea what I should level up next. I'm thinking of getting Vit to 30 and Skill to 40 for now.

I've come across the first boss that makes me want to pull my hair out and snap my pad

Rom

7 attempts now

Same here. Thank God my blood echoes glitched out of his room eventually so I could recuperate them no problem.

Tell me, tell me.....or better lets try him together :)

From my previous post:

Where I think I messed up is running in wide circles to avoid the meteors, instead of locking on and fighting the little spiders first and simply quick stepping at the right sound cue just before they start landing. Then just avoid the AOE attack once the second wave of spiders are gone and take Rom out

Seeing it done makes it look so simple.

And I would join you, but I really want to beat him and try this by myself after a night of resting on it.

So I thought I was stuck on the Cleric Beast
, turns out there's two of them? Ran into him while exploring Yharnam, beat it first try, still stuck on the poison one. But I can get to his last stage without getting hit, I'll probably just bring a bunch of moltov cocktails and spam him dead.

GOD DAMN IT. Used am elixir to block his healing, danced around him and got his health to half. Got staggered by a bullet and instakilled.

Stuck at YoS, as of last night. Going to try a combination of runes (+HP, +stamina, +vial capacity), blood gemstones, and a lv. 6 Hunter's Axe for crowd control.

A note on the Forbidden Forest: What an incredible level. I can't wrap my head around its layout. I had to save a video of the path to the boss just so I could remember how to get there, haha. It's the first level in a long time where I completely loss any sense of which way was which, and just decided to keep pushing blindly in different directions, avoiding enemies and snatching up every treasure I could find. Great atmosphere, too.

LOL I just used a Hunter's Mark to peace the fuck outta
Yahar'gul the Unseen Village
because every single enemy is basically one shotting me. Even if it's doable, I seriously do not care to do it now. I'll just find another sack dude when I wanna go back later.

Edit: LOL NEVER MIND

Time for R

:(

I just broke and pre-ordered the Bloodborne hardcover strategy guide. The game is too awesome, the artwork/world is just amazing and it'll go well with my Dark Souls guide. Dammit.

Mid-Late game Location Spoiler

Caste Cainhurst
has been my absolute favorite zone so far. So awesome.
Rooftop exploring!, going through windows, an awesome castle.

You can't afaik. Once you activate the lamp you can enter whenever you want. Its a different gravestone in HD.

Forbiden Woods
is a OCD nightmare

also, looked at my echoes...70k. this was my face basically

hqdefault.jpg

so I went ahead and used a bold hunter's mark lol

How do you dodge the AoE of (final boss ->)
Moon Presence
?
It seems like no matter what range I am it always kills me. If I get juuust far away enough, it doesn't kill me instantly, but it doesn't let me use the blood vials. If I try to get in close to stun it or something - instakill.

How do you unlock the door down the stair in the area where you get the Monocular and the chain weapon giant.
It is the door next to the treasure chest with the Tempering Blood Gemstone.

Streaming some attempts at Vicar Amelia, PLEASE help me out I have no idea what I'm doing with this fight

Advice is appreciated! FYI I am not using any items for these attempts until I figure out how to actually do some damage to her

Fire Paper and go Ham. Trust me I died quite a bit but after this i have to say this was the easiest boss by far.

Killed
Alfred
finally. I hit him once on accident when I first met him and wouldnt let it go the whole fucking game. What a dick

So... I can't beat the first boss in the chalice dungeon.

Damn... died about 30 times by now.

Big guy with blade arms. The issue is that it's such a war of attrition. I know all his moves at this point, but the timing is just really tight on dodges. Such a small window. And he has this attack that can 360 around his body... it's a OHK on me. And as far as I can see there isn't really a tell for when it's coming. I can dodge it most of the time, but the fight is so long... eventually he gets me. Been trying to beat him all morning. lol.

I could probably cheese him with consumable like mollies or something, but want to beat him legit. It's ruining me.

This game is more punishing than Souls. And I was a no-shield Souls player, so I have some experience.

Idk.

Hey man, here's what I did:

I stopped trying to find strategy in it. I stopped trying to stay behind her.

I literally just one handed my axe with fire paper and went to town on her legs. If you have enough vials and endurance you should be able to stagger her endlessly. Play it safe and stay in front of her and dodge her shockwave and get in attacks whenever you can.

Go hard on her legs, she staggers easily. Just go to town.

Idk.

I beat him yesterday without vials. Because I had none lol.

He's actually very easy. Just stay behind him, dodge his backward slash and blood AoE. He seems to have problems with tracking once you're behind him, not nearly as viscious.

He's the furthest I've reached on my Chalice Dungeons too. I've fought him a few times and decided he's just kinda cheap. Especially that 360 blood move.

Numbing Mist is a good item for this fight. I always positioned myself to the front-left a bit. This allowed me to dodge most of her attacks but also let me get a few follow-up hits. Didn't bother parrying her at all.

Her head is the weak spot. I managed to sneak in a charged R2 which was nice. But the key the entire fight is to stay close while dodging her attacks so you can damage the limbs. Go for either the back legs or pick either of the arms and go ham. It should stagger her when you do enough damage to one of the limbs.
