What the heck. I swear I've tried this before on other enemies. So yeah I just killed one by dropping behind him from above. Sigh...lol. Thanks guys. Now to try and deal with this stupid thunder dude.

Good luck I thought the one with the thunder was easier. I kited him up the stairs and killed him pretty easily.

Like i said, try sneaking up on him too, from same way. Then I'd just try to parry and visceral over and over.

Also, need item help. Cathedral Ward.

From Chapel lamp. Go through front door. Kill gravekeeper. Up stairs. 2 gravekeepers. Through gate. There's a pickup in an unreachable doorway. What is it and how do I get it?
You get it from a very different route from a different zone in the game. Don't worry about get it now, once you do some of the side content you will easily get that item.

It's a Coldblood so it's not something that great anyway.

If it is what I'm thinking it is, I'm gonna assume you
bought the key and went through that door?

Poll:

How many Insights do you guys have on your first playthrough?

I'm watching a streamer basically 1 try every boss I had a problem with and noticed something. The bosses had fewer moves and less aggressive than when I fought them. I usually run around with 30 Insights and the streamer has less than 15.
The more insight you have, the more moves enemies will have. Basically the game gets harder and more things appear.

So I ended up fighting
Eileen
instead of helping
after Rom.

I think she got stuck in a loop... First time I ever used the share feature. The hard fight for your enjoyment. The extra insight didn't make this harder

Spoilerish?

Thanks. I think I know what I'm supposed to do but still end up dying from her sweeping attacks that often combo up.

How's ypour vitality? I was getting one shot on her until pumped at least 5 levels to 17 or so from the base 12....I was runign with base vitality ....which was too cocky and not enough for that fight at all, you have to be able to tank a few unless you spend hours learning all her multiple attacks. Make sure to go nuts on her too and be aggressive, but that eats endurance..make sure you have enough there as well at least 20.

Any tips/cheesing for the
bloodthirsty beast?
I am having a hell of a time once he reaches his angry mode.

Just like the other phases he still does his small swipes into his big windup swipe, he's very weak to the pistol during the big windup swipe, then use your visceral attack. Fire is also very effective against him if you have the fire papers or molotovs.

I had to restart my game a couple of times cause bosses stayed on a loop doing the same attacks over and over and over. Seemed that was the case.

Got it. Thanks.

I love that the doll in Hunter's dream reacts to gestures, she clapped when I did Approval. She also moves about, was standing in front of a gravestone near the insight messengers.

Also how many outfits does those insight messengers sell? I bought like 3 different sets already.

1) You can enlist the help of Alfred for the fight. Talk to him just outside Old Yarnham and activate his sign by standing on top of it (outside the area of the boss fight, it's one of those white stains on the floor that is usually a player left message) and ringing the Beckoning Bell. He will aid you in the fight tremendously.

2) Use the item that throws a blood lure. It will distract him enough to allow you to beat him fairly easily.

3) Spam Shotgun whenever he tries to attack for parries. If you get hit but the parry is successful you will get the life back.

4) When he goes in rage mode just run around until he roars again which deactivates the poison aura.

5) Use Fire paper to coat your weapon with fire for extra damage.

6) Coat him with Oil Urn then toss some Molotovs on him when he goes into rage mode.

7) Just stay near him, dodge to his left and keep to his side/back. You basically want to stay away from his face as much as you can (unless you are confident in your parries) because you want to not get his by his OHK move.

Don't worry. The note is at the lamp after the boss.
Equip the crown the boss dropped.

The
note
is right near that lamp.
Did you put on the crown from Logarius near his throne?

Did that and joined the Vileblood's for that weapon, but I don't see the note by the lamp... Its not the one you need to take you here, its the one to give to Alfred. Just making sure I'm looking for the right one.

EDIT: Nevermind! Found it
to the right of where you need to kneel to join them.
Thanks guys!

Not sure, but I think vit 14 or 16 and end is 16. Might be too now, actually. I'll check them when I get back. Have to farm some more vials too. Used like 40 and have to go get another 40 for the looks of it. Atleast it's a small break from fighting her.

Wow I had no idea about
Alfred. Is he the guy praying that tells you to share stories about being a hunter? I remember that guy but I only saw him for that little cut scene.

Collection of videos I've uploaded. Some might be useful.

I received this note from Sony regarding “Lunarium Key” bug.

Missing “Lunarium Key” bug:
Following limited early reports from users, the development team has worked quickly to identify, recreate, and ultimately confirm a progression bug regarding the “Lunarium Key” in “Byrgenwerth” not appearing properly.
Criteria:
This bug occurs once the user initiates online multiplayer as a co-op guest (by using the “Small Resonant Bell”) or as a hostile invader (by using the “Sinister Resonant Bell”) in the “Forbidden Woods” area.

Solutions:
- A 1.02 hotfix is currently being finalised and prepared for deployment. - Due to the early detection and reporting of this bug (thanks to the Reddit and GameFaqs communities for escalating), the team is confident the hotfix can be released this week. An exact ETA is not presently available, but we will provide more information as soon as possible.
- This hotfix will not include previously stated planned improvements to load times and performance; those refinements will be included later in a separate patch.
- Players are advised to please avoid using either the “Small Resonant Bell” or the “Sinister Resonant Bell” in the “Forbidden Woods” until the hotfix is deployed
- To the players who have already fulfilled the bug criteria and encountered this issue: the team extends its sincerest apologies for this inconvenience. The 1.02 hotfix will resolve this issue and every step is being taken to deploy it as soon as possible. Your patience and understanding are appreciated.

Just worked my way through Unseen Village to reach the Yahar'gul Chapel checkpoint. The atmosphere of that place is suffocating, it can't be healthy to sit tense for such long periods afraid of every step. :(

I messed it up with the umbilical cords...

I wont be able to drop one since it looks like
Iosefka
only drops one after you kill
ROM
.

I killed her already but not
ROM

Much sadness.

Are you serious Bloodborne?
Insight
-sucking monster? i just lost a shitload of
Insight
to one mob. That took me ages to farm. :(

This is me getting way too confident with gun parry. It's effective but can fuck your shit up if you rely too much on it. It worked to my benefit at the start but my reliance on it almost caused me to lose the fight. Sometimes safe and slow is the best way to go despite the changes made in Bloodborne suggesting more risky play.

We got some chalice boss spoilers above. I only stress this video because people are suggesting that gun-parry is overpowered. And if you got the skills for it, sure. But I'm a souls veteran and I can't pull it off consistently. Especially on a boss you just first encountered.

That's how it was for me too. The gun one was the real bitch of the fight.

I remember being in a party when he started running up and one of the GAF members started sounding panicked in telling me to get out of there.

Only strengthened my resolve and rose at the end from the blood of battle.

So I was doing a blood vial farm run, arrived at the father gascoine arena and the lamp is unusable. No X prompt and nothing works. Bug or not?

Where go after fifth boss,
witch?
. Also where are the food weapon drops I see people talk about? I want a cool axe or big sword.

Go to the cathedral church bonfire. From that orientation, go to the right fork all the way through the misty under-woods. Watch out for dogs and snipers brah, they fuck you up real quick.

I had this once in another area, messengers also wouldn't pop up next to it, yeah it's a bug. Run back a lil or go to a new area and return. Should work.

Love is not really the right word.

/s lol, I was screeching in my room last night when I discovered the er... stuff. How embarrassing, was on twitch too.
