Also, while Starry night is definitely the best Halo trailer, the Halo 5 announcement at E3 2013 came sorta close....at least it was the best Halo trailer since Starry night in my opinion.

So I think 343i is capable of making a good trailer, the question is will they deliver.

For me the Halo 4 announcement teaser did more for me than the Halo 5 desert teaser.
Also there's really only two Live Action trailers from Halo that I like; ODST and Reach.
 
Frankie, does the Halo 5 trailer air after the UK premier of the Walking Dead on Monday?

I don't no whether or not to wait, or watch it later when its uploaded online.

The Halo 5 E3 trailer was far from a failure, sir.

1. It looked absolutely stunning.
2. It called back to a major story beat in a very subtle, and touching way.
3. A cloak? What's with the cloak? Speculate!
4. Where is Chief? Is this the Ark? Speculate!
5. What is the massive (Forerunner?) construct that emerges from the sand? Speculate!
6. Dat. Music.

There's just so much packed into that trailer. So much to enjoy. And so much to dig into and discuss. But eh, can't please everyone I suppose! :p

I'd like to step foot on another Halo, but it'd have to be for a different reason other than finding the Index and the Cartographer and all of that jazz. Perhaps having to do with a Flood outbreak, or something to do with another mystery vessel like the one that crashed and was buried by 343GS.

There's plenty of good reasons to go back to a Halo, but for me, I want to go back to the Ark. The Hunters in the Dark novel is taking us back to the Lesser Ark, so that'll be awesome, but I'm hoping part of Chief's lam will take us back there also.

Well, this is just a gameplay trailer. I wouldn't group this one in with the other ones discussed above. Different feel and tone and purpose entirely.

This Halo 4 trailer, though... Most excellent. It gives a lot of great visual content to how truly sinister the Spartan II program was. A good chunk of the humanity of Chief can be found in what was taken from him as a child. It's shaped him to be who he is. Guided even, you might say...

How come some of you see 48min and some of you see nothing. I still see solid 5 and 40min
 
Hoping for a September release date. I want to play all the campaigns one more time to get fucking hype. Can't wait to see where Chiefs story heads next!

Countdown is going by local timezone, not a preset one... Basically, it's set to end at 6PM when it should have been set to end at 6PM est (or whatever). Those that see 48 min will be GMT, but we probably won't see anything at 48 min, MS just messed the countdown up.

Change the time on your computer and the countdown will change accordingly.

I hope so as well. Halo returning to its late September release window would be a great way to spread out the love this fall. Given how much time they've had to work on it I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case.

Has nothing to do with it. It's supposed to end at 6pm PDT, but they messed it up, so it compared your local time to the end-time and set the countdown based on that. Still 7 hours left.

Okay, just to be 100% sure. Frankie said at "The Walking Dead" finale. That is at 9/8c, which is 9pm Eastern Time and 6pm Pacific Time. If your countdown is showing you 5 hours, it's because you are in the Eastern Time Timezone. Europeans (Including myself) had a countdown for 6pm CET, which was 1h 13m ago.

Is anyone on the west coast to confirm what this countdown stops at? If it's 6 PM EST then its not going to be the trailer. If it's 6 PM PST then it's likely referring to the trailer.
 
It's a sound clip with a guy just talking about chief, lost now as I was told it was a trailer.

Edit: never mind maybe it's just not time yet as I am in the UK.
 
If it's airing during The Walking Dead first, then everyone set a countdown for 7 1/2 hours, problem solved. The website does show 4 1/2 for me though, and I'm EST.
