The theme at the beginning of this video is amazing. Listen to how oppressive dat brass is! Then the "heroic" theme that starts at 7:02 ... *mops brow*
I feel that while Neil Davidge did a good job with more atmospheric music in Halo 4, KazJin did a better job with the thematic music. Songs like:
117
Sacrifice
Mantis
Majestic
and even the Halo E3 2013 trailer music
All have that framework thematically that Marty tended to use in his songs. It might not be iconic yet, but 117 and Sacrifice, in my opinion, are some of the most "HALO" songs that've emerged post-Marty.
