A Shield member did win the title. You keep Reigns from being booed out of mania. You have a story line where the champs loses and doesn't get pinned and you have a guy in Orton who never got his rematch.

WWE ultimately wins, as Reigns can get his few months with Rollins then have a rematch at Summerslam with Brock.
