nseen village
?

And what Item do I need for the i
nvisible spider
? I may have it already, if it's this
stone

OT2 Started on Friday and I missed the whole thread. Amazing. Also it seems everyone has passed me and you're all speaking a language I don't comprehend yet. Lol.

For me, beat Amelia on the first try, was finding the game a breeze and now have been wandering around, not sure where to go and getting wrecked everywhere. Think I made a misstep switching to the Spear and focusing on Skill. Not sure. Beat the Hunters and was trying to work my way through the Unseen Village, but think that place is beyond me right now. Think I need to find the Hamlet place and a new weapon or something. Should I keep upgrading the spear? To the internet!

Warning about the area outside where you fell down....
There is one of those mind sucking things that will steal your fricking insight. You will be in a tight alleyway, too, so it's hard to get away. Bastard stole 10 of them from me!

Jesus, this game!

you mean the one that just did that? :P

I hate those things

So question regarding boss order. Is it possible to beat the W
itch
and D
arkbeast
P
aal
before fighting V
icar
A
meilia
?

How do I manage the 3 hunters in
unseen village
?

I've tried to pull one with a pebble but they all seem to join in the fray immediately.

Here's a question/theory that's a bit of a doozy!

I found someone on a roof in the Forbidden Woods. I didn't realize they were an NPC because there was a hint on the ground that read "Beast ahead". I saw it eating something on the ground, so I just started attacking. Next thing I knew, this man transformed into some insane looking beast. I killed him in a really cheesy manner, but my god was he incredible looking. His voice changed, he was insanely aggressive, and had lightning on his fur. I'm wondering if there's a way to transform like he did, and maybe there's something we're missing. We've seen bosses transform, but this guy is actually just an NPC out in the world who you can also bring back to Oedon Chapel or Iosefka's Clinic. Here's a screenshot of him, but given the angle, it doesn't do him any justice. http://i.imgur.com/asrTqvk.jpg

Thoughts?

You did the right thing. You had option of sending him to a "safe location" that
he would have just murdered everyone and you have to fight him anyways back at safe house.

fuck the
spiders
and their one hit jumps
this should not be a problem why is it a problem

Is having the auto-target move to the next enemy the way to go? I've found myself disoriented directionally a few times with multiple enemies after I take one out.

I'm pretty sure Eileen is bugged in my game. I never met her in the sewers, she wasn't in the cathedral ward
after I defeated Rom, and now I'm at the nightmare frontier area
and she's nowhere to be found. :(

wondrous tight spot

Check the cathedral where you fought Amelia. That's where she was in my game.

Yes, but not reccomended to fight DBP

Sweet, yeah I beat all 3 of these bosses already, was asking for a friend whose stuck on VA and VA gave me the most trouble (took about 30 tries no joke). I was able to beat DBP on my second try (probably helped that by the time i fought DBP my ludwig was +6 and it was +4 when i fought VA)

I really liked his dialogue. Killed him on the spot too.

FINALLY! Tied all loose ends and now I'm at the end with
3 umbilical cords consumed. All bosses have been defeated except the chalice dungeon ones.

I just
Vicar Amelia
on my 1st try. Not too bad. After beating her I left the boss fight area, then took an immediate left, went down some stairs and fought 2 hunters (I think?) I had more trouble with them then I thought I would...Should I continue on this path? Seems like it will be hard. It's not the Forbidden Forest, right?

Yes they all get aggressive together no matter how you approach them.

Best bet is to lure them out the door you came through back to the lantern, eventually they will pause and retreat, that's your moment to strike and hopefully break one away from the pack.

Ludvig's Holy Blade and it's charged R2 attack in broadsword mode also helps a ton if you learn to use it well.

So for those delving deep into chalice dungeons, I found something pretty unpleasant in there. It's a rare 'regular' enemy that I started encountering in I think the depth 3 dungeons.

It seems to spawn behind you in rooms you've previously cleared. It just hangs out and waits. It's like this horrible jumping spider-man thing with a long red tongue, not a lot of HP but hard to fight because it's so fast and erratic. First one I saw from far above and didn't get a good look at it - just killed it with a molotov and a plunging attack. But I've gotten ambushed by them out of nowhere twice recently, and I'm now scared of backtracking.

Why!!!!!
I don't want anything ruining the mood.

I recommend Portal - Vexovoid as matching the mood.

Frankly, I'm amazed that I haven't seen any major reviewer or critic point out how much the aesthetics of this game are seemingly drawing on death metal and black metal album cover art. There's a chalice dungeon boss that is straight up a generic satanic war metal band mascot
goat-demon
. The lead up to Witches Abode feels like I'm running through a Dan Seagrave painting.

Even the staff and crew shirts with the b&w line art of the Cleric Beast and Bloodborne logo at the top look straight up like band shirts from when I was seeing demo level death metal bands down on the jersey shore in '92. It's uncanny if it's not intentional.

I ran all the way back to the lantern and only two of them followed me. Parrying worked great on the claw guy and whip wasn't too bad. Watch out for the cannon on the third guy though.

Is level 17 too low for the
Blood Starved Beast?

First part is easy, but once he goes all mad, i keep dying from poison before i can even pop an Antidote.

I heard Paarl was missable. Can someone let me know how to find him? I don't want to risk progressing and losing out on a boss.

That boss is a reused model from an enemy at the bottom of the Healing Church Workshop tower, FYI.

Nah, that path leads to a door that you can't open yet. the forbidden woods is on the right leaving the grand cathedral.

She might be dead? She is dead in my game :(

Yeah I backtracked to the graveyard and found a
Hunter
who was kicking my ass then all of a sudden
Eileen
appeared to lend a hand, knocked the dude's health down to half and was killed. I felt sad I couldn't do much to help. Got the
Crow
gear as a result though from the corpse. :lol Shame it sucks stats-wise compared to the Black Church gettup.
