So I was thinking about giving chalice dungeons a try tonight. How do I go about having friends join me in my dungeon via password?

You did actually meet her in the secret side window near the sewers in the room with beams you can walk across right? That's where you first meet her.

Here's the location on video, near the end.

The only other possibility is that she was killed by one of the hunters she was hunting.

I've checked that area and she seems to have moved elsewhere. Sucks if she got killed by a hunter, but wouldn't her loot still be on the ground?

did you see
her fighting in tomb of oedon
?

Does she fight at the entrance of the tomb where you fought Father G? I've looked around in that area a bit but she's no where to be seen.

The moon is already red for me in the game, if that matters.

Here's a question/theory that's a bit of a doozy!

I found someone on a roof in the Forbidden Woods. I didn't realize they were an NPC because there was a hint on the ground that read "Beast ahead". I saw it eating something on the ground, so I just started attacking. Next thing I knew, this man transformed into some insane looking beast. I killed him in a really cheesy manner, but my god was he incredible looking. His voice changed, he was insanely aggressive, and had lightning on his fur. I'm wondering if there's a way to transform like he did, and maybe there's something we're missing. We've seen bosses transform, but this guy is actually just an NPC out in the world who you can also bring back to Oedon Chapel or Iosefka's Clinic. Here's a screenshot of him, but given the angle, it doesn't do him any justice. http://i.imgur.com/asrTqvk.jpg

Thoughts?
That guy is actually this game's Yurt/Lautrec. He's obviously sketchy but I wanted to see what'd happen if I sent him to the oedon chapel - sure enough he killed one of the NPCs. Didn't want to give him a chance to kill any others so I attacked him - needless to say I shat bricks.

It's in the
back alley. The one with all the NPC windows including the prostitute - if you go through the gate you open with the 10,000 echo key, it's to the left past the flamethrower guy. Look a little closer, it took me a few runs through that alley to find it.
Found it! Damn, Icve cleared that place twice actually lol

not there either :(

I've checked:

  • sewers secret entrane
  • tomb of oden and father g's area
  • cathedral ward lamp to left of exit
  • grand cathedral

Same here, though I caught her in the sewers on my initial playthrough of that area. After that, never saw her again. Pretty sure I missed her by moving on to other things before progressing her questline. Gonna see if I can catch her on my second pass.

I don't think you get the crow badge if she dies, I think she gives it to you at the end of her quest line (at least she did for me)

The one place where she would've died is where you fought
Father Gascoigne
, that's where she fights a hunter that you're supposed to dispatch before he kills her.

what level are you?

dreading it ugh

is there a patch tomorrow? hope it stabilizes co-op so I can summon for that dungeon

137. The best strategy I found to work
Stay at the back right foot and attack that. Watch out for the stomp. When it jumps up, roll back 1-2 times then attack the head and run around back to the backside again. Eventually it'll just start jumping around a lot. Follow it and attack the right foot, but still watch out for the stomp. That was the whole fight for me.

Weird... today I'm right next to the boss place and nobody seems to enter to help me lol

It is the first time... I crossed all the path and killed everything waiting somebody enters in my world.

PS. From the old thread lol

How it as tricky as Dark Souls? That involved partially going through NG++ to get all the boss souls etc.

It seems pretty simple regarding the main story, complete three times f
or three endings
however, there's a gold trophy allocated to what is basically the last boss of the chalice dungeon, I watched a video and it's not pretty.

Any tips for Vicar Amelia? I get her right to the end of health bar then lose every time. I've tried poison knives to help drain out the last bit of health but she seems resistant. I could get her but I keep running out of vials by the last quarter of her health.

Asked this in the other thread but it got buried.

Any of you fucking around with some creative and unique builds?

Like, beyond the STR/SK etc... normal stuff.

I want to do something neat like my dual-spotted whip poison build from DS and my monster FTH/lightning build from DS2. Just bored with being a straight up melee or gun character, I want something special.

I've said it a few time but theres some interesting items that you can use in your quick inventory that use bullets as a resource, that scale from arcane. They're the closest thing to magic in the game. I'm not sure a whole build based around them would would work, but they could make a great supplement to a good arcane weapon. With my 18 arcane I can
shoot tentacles out of my chest, and use an item that turns dodges and rolls into teleports for around 10 seconds
Theres others as well that I've found and almost definetly more I haven't

The person you met is Yurt aka this installments local town murderer. You did the right thing by killing him there. If you listen to his bullshit he'll start killing off people at the chapel

she
died
in my game, but i got the
crow badge
anyway. im able to buy it in the hunters dream

what kind of high five is that and why did he grab her at the end?

Looks like a girls hand. And she's never letting go. If you catch a Watson you get a wish.

A direct question seems better for this thread, to what boss can the Saw Spear carry me? Just beat Amelia with it and not sure how much I should upgrade it. Also, I'm lost.

When they plan to release the patch for the loading time?

This week they said they would release a patch for the game breaking bug but it does NOT include the hot fixes like loading times, frame rate issues , etc

Sony notes that the imminent update for Bloodborne will not include previously announced planned improvements to load times and performance; those refinements will be included later in a separate patch.

Ah OK. I wonder if the 3 endings are as easy to do as Dark Soul's two endings? Which was
walking away or lighting the bonfire

Saw Spear can take you to the end of NG+++++++++++++++++++++++++ etc.

Keep upgrading it.

I cheesed the FUCK out of this dude. Stood in the corridor where the screenshot is and threw poison knives. Glad I did too, because I had 60k blood echoes and he would have easily killed me.

not there either :(

I found her in the basement or lowest area of Hypogean Gaol once.
Haven't seen her since though. She was curled up in the corner, crying and upset. You could hear her the second you came down the stairs.

edit: wrong! different NPC

Yeah they are all easy to get, and you
can basically choose which one you want, based on choice at the end and whether you use some particular items or not

That's a different NPC. That's not Eileen.

It's early yet so I don't know for sure if BB is like the other souls games in this regard, but any non-gimmicky weapon in the souls games can serve you well as a main all the way through to the end.

I'm using the saw cleaver at +9 and some sick gems and 25/22 strength/skill and as such it's still great 40 hours into the game.

Fighting The Father right now. Real fun fight.

The Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack is exactly what this game needed. Thank god for the Spotify app.

While I love that soundtrack, I feel that listening to anything else but Bloodborne's own soundtrack and sound effects would ruin the awesome (and creepy) atmosphere for me. I don't know how some of you guys can do it.

Let me first say this is my first Souls game, I'm LOVING it but having my fair share of problems. First question.

When I beat Cleric Beast I seem to remember getting a Cathedral Key or something like that, but now I cant find it in my inventory, what gives?

Also, I've made it to Father Gascione but I'm having real trouble with him. I've been using the Threaded Cane and I've upgraded it twice (maybe +3? I can't remember) but I also have non-uggraded Hunter's Axe and Saw Spear. would either of those be better?

At this point I think I've explored all areas available to me, I think i have the beat Father G to progress.

Have you checked Grand catherdral. I missed the encounter at the Father G spot and found her there later. Same spot as Amelia. If you try a going to the lantern there and it tells you, you can't, almost certain thats where she'll be

edit - just saw you said you checked there. Duuno then sorry

the hardest thing to fight in this game for me are the other Hunter NPCs giving them guns screws me up so bad. im currently battling the one where you fought
Vicar Amelia
. it is here where i get bodied the most and hardest in the game.

yea, lots of areas are just freakin' creepy because of the audio design. don't ruin it for yourselves until NG+

thats her? i thought that lady was just another NPC. i
dressed in black church grab
and she would talk to me. i then sent her to catherdral ward.
